A drop of water hit the growing puddle in the dark alley. The little boy looked up, expecting to see murky clouds. Instead, he saw a boy. A boy, much older, and definitely much stronger, than him, was sitting on the roof. He was wearing a dark black cloak covering his face, and he stood, looking down at the boy, staring. Just then, a drunk man ran into the alley. "Where are you, you little brat?" he shouted, wobbling towards the little boy. Terrified, the boy realized that he was at a dead end. He wasn't expecting help from the stranger. They never helped him, but before the repulsive walrus of a man could get any closer, he stopped, dead in his tracks. Literally. There was a knife sticking out of his heart. The little boy looked up. The hooded boy was gone. The world went black. The next thing he knew, he was in a bright, white room, with a few people looking over him.

Ten years had passed since Percy first left camp, a broken mess. He had been betrayed by almost everyone he trusted, shattered beyond repair. And all because of one, ignorant little liar with a tongue.

Percy was wandering through camp, when he heard the scream. It was a young boy's scream, and Percy could tell it was coming from outside of camp. Without a second thought, Percy grabbed Riptide, and ran towards the sound. There was a kid, no older than 13, blonde hair, and kaleidoscope eyes. "No doubt Aphrodite," Percy thought, before turning to the monsters. There were two hellhounds, growling at the boy. "Hey!" Percy shouted. The hellhounds turned to him, now thinking about the fresh meat. Percy was thinking that this as going to be easy. Relatively quickly, Percy slay the two monsters, and they dissolved into golden dust. Just then, Chiron and a group of campers ran up. "Did you see that?" the boy exclaimed. "I just totally destroyed those five massive dogs! And I can't believe that this shrimp here," he motioned to Percy, "just stood by and did nothing to help! I almost died!" The little boy said, charmspeak rolling in waves over the campers. Percy snorted, but when Chiron looked at him, upset, Percy shot upright. "You can't seriously believe him?" Percy exclaimed, shocked. Unfortunately, the new camper, Henry, decided to make Percy his target. Everyday, Henry made Percy's life miserable, and everyday, the campers turned on him a little more. He still had Annabeth, and a few others, like Nico, with whom he had gone trough so much. Or so he thought. Two and a half weeks after Henry arrived, Percy headed to the beach to think. What he saw there, would just about break him completely, Annabeth and Henry were making out, despite the fact that Henry was at least 4 years younger than Annabeth. Percy's sea green eyes widened in disbelief, before filling with tears, as he backed away slowly into the forest. As soon as he was a safe distance away, he began to run for his cabin. He grabbed a few of his belongings, before he wrote a short note that would be found later by a curious Annabeth.

Dear whoever finds this,

As I am sure you already know, I, Percy Jackson, have left. By the time you are reading this, I am probably dead. Don't try to find me, because you will be wasting your time. You all betrayed me. I hope that you realize that Henry uses charmspeak. Everything he has said against me since he arrived is a lie. And tell Annabeth that she will never be forgiven.

Your not so fellow camper,

Percy Jackson

Percy then left. He ran to his mother's place, only to find his mother and stepfather lying dead due to a tragic carbon monoxide leak. Tears streaming down his face, he ran from New York.

Percy ran, jumping across buildings, and over streets in the city of Boston. He was trying to escape the site where he had just helped the little son of Apollo. He never knew if Chiron or someone might be able to locate the spot where the kids came from, so he could never stay in the spot. That's when he heard a scream. "Damn. Two in an hour." he thought to himself, as he ran towards the young girl. He reached the row of disgusting, old apartments, and heard another scream. He kicked down the door from where the sound was coming from. A big walrus guy was towering over a little girl. "Welp, to the hunters she goes." Percy thought. Lightning fast, Percy beat up the guy and sent him to the underworld. Then Percy revealed his face to the little girl. "Hello. My name's Percy. Don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt you. Now. Have you ever heard of Greek myths and the gods and such?" The girl nodded. Good. "Well," Percy began, "They're real. And let me guess. You never knew one of your parents. You probably have ADHD and Dyslexia, as well." Her eyes widened. "How did you know?" Percy gave a sad smile "Because I'm like you. You're a demigod. One of you parents is a god or a goddess. Two things, what is your name? And second, Which parent did you know, your mom or dad?" She sniffed. "Lucy is my name. My mom. But- she's gone now." Percy nodded. "Figures. Ok Lucy. I can take you to one of two places. I can take you to Camp Half-Blood or to Lady Artemis and her hunters. Personally, I think you would prefer the hunters. They are a group of partially immortal maiden girls who hate guys and vowed never to love. And at Camp Half-Blood you can train with boys and girls." Lucy chose the hunters immediately. "I thought so." Percy agreed. "In which case, I need to check on the hunters location. One second," Percy said, while closing his eyes and letting his senses reach out around him. "South Dakota," he muttered after a few seconds. "Let's go." As the duo were packing up Lucy's few items, there was a bright flash, and none other than a certain sun god showed up. "Shoooot." Percy cursed, before touching Lucy's arm and flashing them away, before Apollo could really look around.

"Sorry about that. I had to get away." Percy explained. "Do you have everything that you need?" Lucy nodded before asking, "Was that guy a bad guy?" Percy shook his head. "Not exactly." Confused, Lucy asked, "Then why are we running from him?" Percy sighed, tears coming to his eyes, a far away look almost masking the sadness. "That's a long story, but basically, I am running from them, the gods and other demigods, but not because I did something. More like, they did something. The demigods broke me, and the gods only want to control me, so I run." Lucy nodded, before adding, "Which god was that?" With a sigh, Percy told her. "Apollo, god of the sun, poetry, music, healing, something like that. I'm just glad it wasn't his twin sister. If so, that would mean I'd have a bunch of man hating psycho- sorry, not that. Let's say, stalkers. They hunt monsters, and find things: That's where you'll be going. And now, I present the hunters' camp." Percy and Lucy had arrived at the border of the camp. "Now, all you have to do is walk in, and say that you wish to join the hunt. I have one request for you though. Don't mention my name. Please." Lucy nodded, and gave him a big hug. "Thank you Percy." And with that, she walked into the clearing. Of course, before Percy could even begin to leave, the army of 300 or so monsters began an attack. Now, the Hunters are a great fighting force. Against odds of up to 5 to 1, the Hunters could be counted in. However, 10 to1 is a whole other story. Percy sighed, knowing that Lucy may very well have been his last rescue mission. He snapped his fingers and a cloak appeared over his face. Pulling out his double swords, Riptide and Deception, he leaped into the masses of the army.
