It's nearly midnight, and the Shadow Ruler stands on a hill, soaking with rain water as he glares over Zerkin. The rain is pouring down hard, and he's clenching his staff with anger.

"I will destroy the X-Team, even if it's the last thing I do," he mutters, madness seeping through his body. "We'll see who really has the last laugh, X-Team, we'll see," he growls. He starts to laugh maniacally, getting louder and louder. This will not be the last of the Shadow Ruler. It will not.

"Get off me you beast!"  Commander Zark shouts, shoving Midnight off of him. They're inside of a spaceship, slowly drifting through space. "Now, start the Trans-speaker," he commands, turning back to his control panel.

"Started," a robot informs him.

"The Shadow Ruler-- ch ch ch -- esca --BEEP! Esaped," Midnight speaks through a transmitter that converts any language in the universe to Zentrillion.

"That COWARD!" Commander Zark slams his fists down into the the control panel. "Who caused it?" Ha asks.

"Krrr -- the X-Team," the dragon replies.

"Ha. I knew that they'd come one day," Commander Zark turns back around, settling down a little. "I'll just take care of them myself then. When does the next General Flight launch?"

"Two years, Commander," the robot informs him.

"TWO YEARS?!" he shouts, raging again. He sighs. "I will be on that flight. Until then, we'll send down Fighter Ships to stall them. When my time has come, I will be there," he states.

"Flight locked. General Flight leaving Zentril in two years," the robot informs Commander Zark.

"Good," he mutters, imagining what he could do with the elements of the X-Team.
