The sound of feet stomping on the snow echoed throughout the deep dark forest. A dark blond haired girl, dressed with a Resistance pilot uniform ran as fast as she could, fleeing from a First Order base. Her warm breath created a thin fog in front of her. Blond locks falling out of her braided hair stuck to her sweaty face. The cold winter air burned her throat and lungs, making it hard for her to breathe. The temperature weighed heavily on her legs, numbing them and slowing her down more and more.
All she felt like doing right now was rest a little bit and start a fire to warm her up again. But she couldn't afford that. She had to fly away with her X-Wing, go back to the Resistance base, and make sure that all her friends were safe and sound. Especially Poe. She obviously wouldn't admit it, but she cared mostly about him. He was somebody really special to her.
So she kept on going forward. She knew that her ship wasn't far, and that's what she kept telling herself. As she continued advancing though, she didn't notice the second pair of boots crushing the snow from behind her.
Suddenly, the pilot heard a lightsaber slashing open loudly. She turned around swiftly, holding her blaster up in front of her. It was then that she saw the source of the other footsteps.
A few feet in front of the rebel stood a woman slightly shorter than her. She was wearing black robes and big matching boots. Her hooded head prevented the pilot from guessing her age or even seeing her facial features. In her left hand, she was firmly holding a red lightsaber. A dangerous aura surrounded her, and Trevkey, the rebel, knew that girl was trouble.
Trevkey immediately shot multiple times at the girl, but she easily dodged them with her saber. She started walking forward, closer to the pilot, who slowly backed away, still panting heavily.
After a few other shots, the girl dressed in black rose her right hand, pulling the rebel's armed arm away, the blaster now pointing at the ground. Trevkey couldn't move anymore. Her limbs were locked in place. She grunted, trembling a bit, fear starting to build up slightly in her stomach.
The woman in front of her turned off her lightsaber, and attached it back to her belt. She rose her gloved hands up to her hood, slowly pulling in down, revelling her face.
She had very long dark brown hair that reached down to her waist. Her eyes were a matching colour and thick long lashes framed them. She looked about the same age as the rebel, maybe a little bit younger. Her gaze was cold, intimidating even. She stared intently at the Resistance pilot, analyzing her. She didn't say a word, and the only sound that could be heard was Trevkey's heavy breathing and the wind softly rustling the frozen tree branches.
The woman walked in front of the rebel. Her deep brown orbs were staring directly up into the pilot's blue and green ones.
"I hope you realize how deep in trouble you are right now.", the brown haired girl said.
"I've got a small idea.", the rebel replied smugly.
The woman rose her left hand next to Trevkey's head, looking into her mind and reading her thoughts. The girl felt her nerves being pulled apart and frowned, letting out a groan. She tried to block her mind, doing her best to push the force wielder away, but she was way stronger than her.
"Where's the scavenger?", the brown haired girl asked calmly.
The rebel scoffed.
"Like I would tell you."
Starting to get annoyed, the girl pushed harder, making the pilot's migraine worse. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't able to find anything.
Suddenly, the brown eyes flickered away from Trevkey's face to something behind her. The girl's face changed from a cold an intimidating one to a more respectful and almost fearful. She pulled her hand away, and stepped back from the rebel. It was then that Trevkey was able to hear the third pair of feet joining the two girls.
"Who is that?", a deep and eerie robotic voice asked.
"One of the rebel that freed the prisoners, master.", the girl responded.
Master?
"So she knows where the scavenger is."
"Yes, master."
Kylo Ren.
As soon as she realized that, Trevkey's thoughts became more clear and her questions were answered. That girl in front of her was the one her and Poe saw walking alongside Kylo Ren when he and the stormtroopers attacked a village, looking for the rebels. Where they killed innocents villagers and kidnapped some of her friends who hadn't managed to hide in time.
Trevkey felt a bit of the fear rumbling in her stomach disappear and transform into hatred for the two black gowns wearing force users. She held her blaster tighter.
"Tell the others they can stop chasing after the other rebels. I have what I need."
"Yes, master."
And with that, the apprentice left, pulling her hood back up, leaving the man and the blond haired girl alone.
Kylo raised is hand, and the girl felt her vision blur, before falling into unconsciousness. The man grabbed her before she could fall on the hard ground, a carried her to a ship that was waiting for them, a bit further into the freezing forest.
