Old friends

Richie dropped you off back at your house cutting the date early cause of the news. You still needed to adjust to the situation and it was night time so you got into your purple pajamas and went to sleep. You woke up at around 4:30 am which doesn't happen very often. You woke up and sat on your couch thinking about if you should go back or not.

"I could die" you mumbled covering your eyes before tears threatened to fall but your efforts were useless and the first tear fell tapping onto the glass coffee table like the first drop of rain on a sunny day. After that first tear the rest fell like an overwhelming waterfall of sadness that was kept inside for so many years. You feared the possibilities, what could happen? But what choice did you have, let your friends die? At least if they were to...no don't think like that you should be fine. You wipe your tears and get dressed (above) for the journey that awaits. Your meeting the old gang back in Derry at your old spot, the quarry. You got into Richie's car without saying a word, the car ride was silent until Richie spoke

"Y/N you know you didn't have to come.."

"What you expect me to let you guys die? Let you die specifically??" You said as you turned your head towards him

"Why do you care what happens to me anyways? All I have done was hurt you since we were kids" Richie groaned before you stared at him for a second

"Because Richard I love you, your so oblivious! Just I'm done talking" You rolled your eyes as Richie looked at you then back at the road silently. You drove past the sign that welcomed you to Derry and it made you shake a bit, all those old memories flood back. You two parked in front of the path that lead down to the quarry, this was weird and you just wanted to avoid them all together. You walked down the path with Richie only to be greeted by the overgrown cliff where your old friends sat together refreshing memories of old times.

"Hi." you mumbled as they all turned and looked at you

"hey y/n, long time no see" Eddie rolled his eyes taking a huff of his inhaler

"Oh finally ditches the fanny pack after 10 years but not the attitude?" You groaned

"Y/N stop" Richie nudged you

"Why invite me if I'm gonna be insulted the whole time?" You whispered

"We need your help" Bill said

"Fuck, your stutters gone?" You smiled at bill who no longer held any sort of grudge against you

"yeah, and your language isn't I see" Bill smiles at me sweetly

"Ah the only two who like me here are you and bill" you whispered to Richie who stood there awkward as everyone but bill and ben shot glares at you

"don't say anythi-" Richie started before you cut him off

"okay I get you don't like me, but you see here you need my help, its been 10 years grow the fuck up" you growl as everyone looks at eachother

"Your right" Beverly started

"Thank you-" You mumbled before she smiled

"We don't like you" she stated abruptly and you just rolled your eyes

---4 minute time skip brought to you by Richie cursing---

"Okay I'm doing this for you and bill that is it, understood?" you told Richie who was holding your hand

"Y/n?" he said

"What?" you mumbled

"Are we a thing?" he asked you seriously

"I guess? You wanna be?" you ask him sweetly

"Yeah I do" he smiles at himself

You both continue walking as you pass your old house, memories flooding back.

"I hate this place" You groan

"same" He rolls his eyes

"Why do you hate it?"

"Because you hate it, princess"

You smile at him and continue walking down the street taking in the nice moment your having before shit will go sideways. We stopped at a park where bill told us to meet them all and realized we were the first ones there. 

"Oh the memories.." you mumble remembering the time Richie and his friends pushed you into the mud calling you terrible names

"I don't like these ones.." Richie mumbled noticing the awkward tension

"Hey guys" Bill walked up to you both with everyone behind him

"I feel like were getting old" you laugh

"Y/n your literally 24" Richie chuckled hitting your shoulder

"Okay partially old, like halfway there" You sit on the familiar bench

"wow I remember this bench, we tied eddies underwear to the side of it and watched him try to untie it to become free" You bust out laughing as Eddie huffs his inhaler with a chuckle

"I miss the old us" You sigh at everyone

"The ones who were young and free, the ones who didn't fight" You tap your foot on the ground slightly 

"Yeah we all do" Stan smiles

"I missed you Stanley. I missed my bestfriend" You look at him and he steps to you and gives you a hug

"I'm sorry for everything y/n" He releases you and you smile. Something about him seemed off but you couldn't put your finger on it

"So we obviously know where IT is" Bill mumbles

"The sewers, unless he moved and if he did we can get his a house warming gift!" you laugh as everyone looks at you seriously 

"Oh sorry, um *cough*" you mumble out

"Well then we know where he is, we have weapons-" Richie started to speak before you cut him off

"A butter knife, and a crow bar isn't shit" You smack his arm as he chuckles

"Point is lets kill this fucking clown" You grin as everyone nods
