TIME SKIP TO AFTER THE MUSICAL ENDS.

(Kevin's POV)

I fall onto my bed. I'm exhausted after today, but some how I know I won't be able to sleep tonight. Well, technically, none of us are mormons, so we don't really have to follow all the rules anymore.

I get up and out of bed. I wander into the living room and grab the novel I found at the shop in the village. I read for a while before seeing Elder McKinley sneak into the kitchen. Curious, I stop reading, but keep my book up so he doesn't think I'm watching him. Soon, he walks into the living room and stops mid-step, realizing I'm awake. I finally turn around and smile at him.

(Connor's POV)

Oh no. Elder Price is awake. Usually, I'm the only one up in the middle of the night, what is he doing??

"Uh... H-Hello Elder Price, w-what are you doing awake at this t-time..?" I ask suddenly, silently praying he doesn't ask the same about me.

"Hello Elder McKinley! I just knew I couldn't sleep tonight, due to all the excitement from earlier today. What are you doing up?" Elder Price asks, putting down the novel and patting the couch, signaling for me to sit down.

"Oh, me? Uh, I was just, uhm, getting a glass of water... to take to my room... uhh... yeah." I flat out lied, trying not to make eye contact.

"Okay, McKinley, sit down. I know you're lying. You're not even holding a cup." Elder Price replies, seeing right through me. "Now why are you REALLY awake?" I sit down on the opposite side of the couch he's sitting on.

I guess I can't lie anymore... I mean, we aren't mormons anymore so I guess there's no point in 'turning it off'...
you can
"Uhh.... uhmmm..." I stutter, trying not to cry just thinking about how awful my hell dreams have been recently. Apparently, Elder Price could also see I wanted to cry, because he got up and sat down right next to me and hugged me. I immediately started sobbing into his shoulder as I throw my arms around his neck. "The hell dreams.... they.... they're just too much! I-I've dealt with them ever
s-since 5th grade but they just keep getting worse! .... I-I don't know how much more I
c-can take!" I respond between sobs.

"Hey, shhh, it's ok. I'm here. You can cry as much as you need to. I'm here for you." Elder Price replies, comfortingly rubbing my back.

"I-I just... I can't take it anymore!! They're just too..." I can't even finish my sentence before sobbing once more into his shoulder. After a minute, I try to regain myself. "I just feel s-so useless a-and like a failure!" I cry out, grasping his shirt as if it would save my life.

"Hey. You are not useless. You are the complete opposite of useless. And you definitely are NOT a failure. Nobody thinks you're a failure, especially me." Elder Price claimed, pulling his head away just a little bit, to look into my eyes.

I finally look up from sobbing into his shoulder and immediately I see the worry and love in his eyes... It's purely platonic, Connor. Stop getting your hopes up.

(Kevin's POV)

Elder McKinley finally looks up at me and I immediately see his gorgeous, light blue eyes. They are still spilling tears, but Elder McKinley looks at me wide-eyed.

"D-do you r-really mean that?" Elder McKinley manages between tears, sniffling.

I release my arms from around his back, causing him to tighten his grip on me. I don't mind, but I make sure he looks me in the eyes the whole time. I reach up and wipe the tears from his eyes, smiling at him. I wish this moment would last forever.

We gazed into each other's eyes for a long time, my hands still holding onto his face. We both, very slowly started to move forward, both our faces getting progressively more pink as we moved. Elder McKinley lets his eyes flutter shut. Suddenly, when me and Elder McKinley were inches away from each other, I see something moving behind him, into the kitchen. I tense up and remove my hands from McKinley's face, my face turning bright red. He immediately looks down, his face turning a bright shade of red as well. He almost starts crying again before he starts talking.

"I-I'm so sorry. I don't know what I was thinking, I was so stup-" I cut off McKinley's rambling by putting a finger to my lips and pointing towards the kitchen. He looks over, confused, but then suddenly a look of realization washes over his face. He checks his watch and his eyes widen in surprise. He grins shyly and points his watch towards me. 5:46am.

Wow. We must've been talking for a very long time... or staring into each others eyes for a very long time. Because neither if us got ANY sleep yet.

We both smile and I can tell Elder McKinley tried not to giggle and blush more. We then stand up together, going into our respective rooms before turning around, smiling and blushing at each other once more, and then quietly tip-toeing into our beds.
