ADELAIDE'S POV

That wasn't as bad as I expected. I've heard stories about the Vladimir's but I never thought that they're fun to hang out with. After hours of shopping and sightseeing, we decided to stop by at a restaurant before going home. Honestly, I am hungry myself.

Even though they tried every single food that was from those street vendors, it's not enough for me. Geez, I will gain weight if this keeps up.

"Hmm, so many selections! Adelaide, choose for us. You've been here before, haven't you?" Alexei asked as she given up on reading the menu. I nod and look down at the menu. Are they asking me to pick their meal? For real?

I pick my favorites and gave the menu back to the waiter. As we wait, Levka was smiling at me dreamily. Is there something on my face?

"Adelaide, you've made a wise decision to be in our family. I can assure you, you'll have a prosperous future with our Sasha. That girl, she's following her mother's footsteps little by little," He seems proud to talk about Sasha and her mother.

"I wonder, how is it that those two resemblances each other? For me, Asha's the one who looks and act exactly like her mother,"  I asked them both.

"Asha does inherit parts of her mother and mine. But Sasha inherits her brains and beauty. Our Natalya was raised to be quite different than the rest of our children. She was an assassin," Alexei muttered the last part slowly so no one would hear her.

The principal was an assassin?! Is that why Sasha's one as well? Does she want to follow her mother's footstep?

"Unfortunately, Natalya never have the luck in choosing the person she married to. Her first husband was an abusive man," Levka sighed.

"I asked people to send that man back to Hell. No one hits my Natalya and gets away with it!" Did this old man just admitted in killing a human in front of me?!

"She seems happy with Silas but we both know her heart belongs to Valentine. You see, Natalya is one of those people who keep her promise once they're made. But, after knowing that Silas had hired Volin to kill her baby, that's the last straw I guess," Alexei looks kinda sad.

"I'm glad Sasha fight for her love this time. She was devastated when the last person she likes ended up marrying his uncle Zackey. She looks like she had lost hope in finding someone to spend her life with but then you came along. Of course, now it looks like you and your teacher dating each other seems weird but I'm sure, once you achieved whatever you wish to do, you'll see Sasha as someone you want to come home to," Levka actually sounds like a wise man just then.

"I'm sure our Natalya feels a little sad that her second marriage fault yet again. We're glad that Valentine came along this time. We heard a lot of noises coming from Natalya's bedroom last night," this elderly couple actually the coolest parents anyone could have!

"May I ask a few questions?" They both nod.

"Is it true that Silas did something to Sasha? If so, I want to know the reason," the elderly couple looks at each other before sighing hard.

"The lobotomize was one of the things that happened to her. Her tattoos show how much pain and suffering she has to handle on her own. Natalya pitied her own child but Sasha doesn't want her mother's pity. She wants to get strong on her own. That's how Sasha wants to live her life," Alexei explained.

"I think I'll do something so that Silas won't be a bother anymore. What say you, Alexei?"

"Now Levka, you shouldn't get too excited. You should take care of your blood pressure," Alexei chuckled.
