In the End

Chapter 3

I woke up and got ready for school.  I wore some white holy jeans and a blue flowy shirt. I was outside waiting on the bus when I realized I was actually excited about school. I got on the bus and sat next to that same guy. He was pretty cool. I got to school and all I could think about was second period. I didn't hear a word my algebra teacher said. I could only think about Nathan. The bell rang and I pretty much leaped out of my seat. I wanted to wait to walk into class until after he was already seated so I could kinda make a noticeable entrance. So I stopped by the tree outside so I could get service on my cell. The service sucked here.when I was sure he was in class I walked in. Our eyes met and I practically melted. I waked to my seat and he greeted me. We were talking and working. Mostly talking and that's when he told me he was talking to someone. I asked who. My heart sank. He said her name was Avery. I said" awe, that's cute, she's a really sweet girl." I don't know why I was upset. I had just met him. The teacher assigned us a project. It was due in a week. We agreed to meet at his house tomorrow.  I was pretty much zoned out all of third period. When I seen Avery fourth period I was kinda jealous of her. She had pretty blonde hair and was a little shorter than me. I got over it because she is really sweet and we kinda just clicked. She asked to hang out after school. I wanted to. She said her older brother could drive us to the mall afterwards. We exchanged numbers and she said to text her during 5th. I went to cosmetology and she texted me. She said to meet in the lower commons. I touched up my makeup and my hair. It was time to go. I was waiting in the lower commons for Avery. We got in the car with her older brother. He drove us to the mall. He dropped us off and we went inside. We picked out a bunch of items. Nathan didn't cross my mind once. She's hilarious . We were laughing at everything. We left the mall and she dropped me off at home. I thanked her brother for the ride and he said "no problem." I walked to the door and used my house key to get in. My mom was almost never home. I went in and ordered a pizza. I turned on Netflix. I was binge watching when my phone lit up. It was a text from Nathan. I read " hey, it's Nathan. I was just wondering what you wanted to do our project on." I smiled. I replied" it doesn't matter, you pick." He responded" I thought you'd say that lol." I responded" you know me so well." He replied "I'm getting there." I said"goodnight." I put my phone down and felt pathetic for smiling so big. He was talking to Avery. He would never date me when he could have her.
