Shocked to see him,  I try to form any words but they all died in my throat and all I could manage was a soft hey, to which he did not reply.  He stood there staring at me,  looking lost.

I could see that he wanted to say something but was holding himself back.  So,  I stood awkwardly,  not knowing what to do until he cleared his throat before turning around and walking away as if he never just stop me from sleeping to answer his knock.

I griped the door with force and closed it behind me as I made my way back to bed.  I knew that I wouldn't be getting sleep any time soon so I decided to try and call my dad to see how things are going.

Dialing Julie's number,  I sat playing with the blanket, the soft material calming down my wild breathing.

I nearly jumped in excitement as a faint hello was heard on the other side.

'Hey guys,  it's me Livia.  I hope I am not disruption your sleep '

'How can you disrupt us dear,  we gave been waiting for this call since you got on the airplane '

'oh man!  I'm sorry for making you wait for long.  How is dad? '

I heard a bit of shuffling before my dads sweet voice was heard.  ' Olivia honey, your old man is doing just fine over here.  You found me good company.  I can never get bored now! '

'Well,  that's amazing to hear dad,  any updates from the doctor about what will be done with you? '

' For now,  they are keeping me at the hospital.  For safety reasons and he said as you give him money,  he will slowly complete the full treatment '

'That's... Amazing to hear.  But you know what's better?  I got a job! I wasn't allowed a loan but the queen agreed to pay me as I worked in the castle,  so you will be out of there in no time dad! '

'Olivia,  I love you and you are everything I ever wanted in a child. Don't put too much pressure on yourself  , I'm fine.  Just live your life and always be happy '

'I love you too dad.  I will speak to you tomorrow,  have some rest '

There was more shuffling and Julie's voice greeted me,  she sounded tired but tried not to show it by cracking jokes and telling me about how much my dad was a nag when it came to bedtime stories.

I knew she was keeping something from me,  but I didn't force it out or question her.  Instead,  we continued our light hearted conversation for a long time.

When I finally hung up,  it was 2:00 am and despite knowing I would regret it in the morning,  I fell asleep with a grin plastered on my face

Tomorrow was going to be a long day
