Chapter 10:

*Cato*

I see Katniss, and signal everyone to follow me. She stands up and wades her way through the pond to get to the rocky bank. She runs through the woods, and climbs a tree. She must be 50 or so feet off of the ground. And as I climb, I must reach about half way before a branch snaps. I plummet to the ground, but I get up. I look over at Clove, who gives Peeta a reassuring pat on the back and joins me. Glimmer attempts to shoot her with her bow and arrow, and fails. Peeta says quietly,

"Just wait until morning. She has to come down sometime." And sighs.

Me and Clove agree, we know how painful it must be for him. Marvel joins us to take the night watch, and when Clove has killed a few lizards, she goes to sleep, as does Peeta. Katniss is still awake when I start to yell at Marvel and Glimmer for last night.

When I wake up, I hear something hit the ground. Then a tracker-jacker stings me and I yell,

"Clove! Come on let's go!" And she jumps up. We scale a nearby tree, waiting for the others, but eventually, only Marvel joins us. I go to see if Katniss, Peeta and Glimmer are all dead, but the result surprises me.

I see Katniss, pulling on Glimmer's mangled corpse. She wants the bow and arrow. Peeta runs up to her, and tells her to leave, and she does.

I stagger up to him and put a deep slit in his leg.
