Chapter 13

Serena's POV

As I wake up from my slumber, at 6:00, all I wanted to do was rest. I didn't feel like getting up. I just wanted to lay in bed. But, I knew I couldn't. I gotta get my education. So, before Fletching flies in my room, I get up and stretch, rubbing my eyes. I scanned to see Fennekin purr a little, then she wakes up.

Ash's POV

As I woke up, I just wanted to go back to sleep. I didn't even want to get up. I dreaded school, but I love sleep. I was about to rest my eyes when...

"Pikachu!!"

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

That got me awake. I get my charred clothes, throw them in the hamper, and l hit the shower.

As I get down the stairs with Pikachu on my shoulder, I see my mom sipping coffee. She looks at me and smiles.

"What happened upstairs?" She teased.

"Nothing happened."

"Pika" said my partner as he went to his bowl.

"Hey Ash?"

"Yeah?" I ask my mom.

"I was wondering if you wanted to just stay home tonight. I have no evening shift. We could watch It, get popcorn, ect, ect."

"Ok." That sounds nice. I said smiling a bit.

She never spends time with me, so today is pretty special. I'm usually tired when she does come home at 12. So I'm actually going to enjoy this. I felt a smile coming on... unfortunately she did too.

"OMA, your face, gotta get my phone out."

"Mom," I whined, putting my hood over my face.

"So, you make any friends so far, Ash?"

I hate when she's like this. If I don't want to smile, I don't wanna smile. I don't want friends, huge waste of time. Some can be mouthy, annoying, etc. And I don't want to deal with that. But soon my mind wanders to the group of friends. Misty is just a tomboy, but I mean, she has a deep love for water type Pokémon, so that's something. Gary, has a heart for battling, but calls me that annoying name, but other than that, he not bad. Dawn, is pretty, she's nice, has a well trained Piplup, but just no. Drew and May, make a nice couple. Both eat massy, like contests, can get angry easily, but hey, they seem nice...when they're not arguing. Paul, doesn't really speak but he does really nothing in class. But as for a battler, I've heard he's strong. Ok, I'll battle him next. Cilan and Iris. No one understands Cilan half the time...but he puts in thought so he's an intelligent individual... I guess. And Iris, well, she's a wild child. Ready to explore, has a lot of energy. But Serena, something different about her. The way her beautiful golden blonde hair flows in the wind, her charming voice, her determination to become Kalos Queen. I feel a blush on my cheeks, but quickly shake my head to dispell it away.

"I guess," I said. I immediately regret that.

"Yaaaay, so how about a girl"?

"Moooooom, stop."

I wash my plate, hands, Pikachu hops on my shoulder, strap on my belt for my Pokéballs, and leave.

"Bye Mom," I say to her

"Bye."

Dawn's POV

As I get to the bus stop, I see Serena already there. I wall up to her and pull her aside.

"Sheesh Dawn, thought you were gonna kidnap me or something the way you pulled."

"Sorry. Misty, now." she calls over the water type trainer.

"So...how was the date?" She asks while tying her orange hair into a ponytail.

"Since when are you into relationships?" I ask.

"Hey, I'm not just about roughing it with boys, I occasionally love the romance novels. Anyway, what happened?"

"Well-" I start when the yellow bus comes through and the doors open. Instead of the man yelling at us to get the hell on...a small middle aged woman opens them.

Serena's POV

"Hello, get on and take a seat." She said with a smile. As the boys rush in to get on, I quickly sit down with 2 girls following close behind. As we.take our seats, Ash climbs aboard. With his fingernails painted black, raven hair covering his face, and all black clothing, I just say hi. He looks back at me and smiled a bit, before sitting next to Paul and Clemont. As the three talk, my mind suddenly clears, as I hear Dawn scream my name

"SERENA?!"

"What?" I scream.

"So, how was the movie? Did he kiss you? Did Calem make any moves?"

"No, he didn't?" I say looking at the ground, blushing.

"Oh, did you here?"

"What?"

"The school is having performances, to mimic those in Kalos." Misty says

"For real? Oh, sweet, I can't wait to perform"

"I know, I saw your performances in Kalos. I loved your outfits, you looked nice." Dawn said. "Your trust in your Pokémon was awesome, the moved you pulled off were amazing. Sign-ups start today at lunch."

"Oh wow, thanks Dawn that means a lot to me." I exclaim.

As we reached the school we quickly reached the cafeteria.

I was walking next to Ash. He noticed me and smiles. As he turns back I saw a mild blush appear.
