Rematch

"The battle between Gary Oak and Ash Ketchum will begin. Each person can only use one Pokémon. The battle is over when one Pokémon on either side is unable to continue. Trainers, send out your Pokémon." Dawn said as she looked to either side. One was sporting a fire breathing dragon, wings flapping, tail bursting with flames. A monstrous roar escapes it's mouth to show it's prowess. The other was sporting a bipedal blue turtle. 2 cannons sprouted from its shell. A smirk enlarged onto its face as he was itching for a good battle. As both Pokémon gave each other a death stare, they knew the other was going all out.

Benches

"Who do you think win?" Clemont asked the group.

"My money's on Gary." said Drew. "I honestly think he's going to win this time."

"I think Ash is going to win. From what I can tell so far, Ash is really strong."

"Serena, what do you think?" Clemont asked the honey-blonde.

"I think Ash'll win. Hey wait, where's Iris?"

"She and Cilan went to study in the library."

"Ok, cool."

Serena's POV

Iris and Cilan have been acting weird for the past to days, spending a lot of time together to. Maybe...wait no. Iris is wild and Cilan is...well Cilan. Heh, that's funny.

"Charizard, use Flamethrower." That snapped me back to the battle as Ash makes the first move. A burst of flames escapes Charizard's mouth and barrels towards Blastoise.

"Blastoise use Hydro Pump."

As the two met a small explosion is made as the two moved met.

"Charizard, now."

A fiery aura engulfs the dragon as Charizard gets surrounded by fire.

"Dragon Claw."

Charizard flaps it's wings once, and bombards Blastoise with slices to it's belly, face and jaw.

"Hydro Pump point blank range."

As the turtle opens it's mouth, Charizard pushes away from the turtle, and attempts flies off. The blasts explodes into Charizard as the fire type is pushed back to its side. Charizards aura was quickly diminished.

"You ok Charizard?"

"Char." It nods

"Well played using Hydro Pump point blank."

Thanks, it was a great idea. Now, use Ice Beam."

"Counter with Flare Blitz."

The aura around Charizard blew up immensly, and he rushed towards the white beam. The ice did nothing to slow it down as it quickly melted. The dragon collided into Blastoise and the turtle was blown back all the way to Gary.

Gary's POV

"Well played." I say to the guy on the other side with the dark expression on his face. It's like he was born to be emo. He's just screaming depressed. But hey, I think I can cheer him up with this battle. I look over to Blastoise, he seems to be panting, hard. I then look over to Charizard. He seems to be experiencing the same thing. He flaps his wings and lowers himself to the ground to catch his breath. I look back at Ash, he looks at me, with an awaiting stare.

"All right, let's end this, Blastoise, Hyro Pump, everything you have."

"Charizard, dodge."

As the bipedal turtle aimed at the flying dragon, the blast never fully reached it's target.

"Charizard,  Flamethrower."

As the dragon launched one last blast towards Blastoise, I didn't give up.

"Dodge."

He couldn't. The blast reached and chared it's target. Blastoise fell over, spirals invaded his eyes.

"Blastoise is unable to battle, Charizard wins. Which means, the victor is Ash."

I walk over to my fallen Pokemon.

"Blast, stoise Blastoise." He looked at me with a sad expression.

"It's okay, you did your best. Take a good rest."

As I recalled my Pokemon, I looked over to Ash and Charizard. Such an extraordinary bond. I saw him feed him a couple of Sitrus berries. In return, it unleashed a huge Flamethrower. After he returned, he walked over to me.

"Here." He says handing me a drink and some berries.

"The drink is for Blastoise." As I pulled the turtle back out, I gave him the drink, and he say right back up.

"Blastoise, blast, oise oise blast."

"Hey, thanks for the battle." Really appreciate it.  He said to me with, again, a dead expression. Wow, not even a smile, but hey, I got a thanks.

Benches

"Wow, that was an out of this world battle. The appetizers were scrumptious, the main course was explicit, and desert was devine." Cilan says as he and Iris walked towards the group.

"Hey Cilan." Clemont says as he greets the two. How was studying?

"It was great." Iris chimed in. "We just tried to find you guys, so, we checked the last place when all else failed. We saw the final moments and it was awesome.

"Ash, I saw the battle. It was awesome."

Serena's POV

As Miette crowded and shoved herself on to Ash, it made me cringe.

"You really think so, thanks."

I balled my fist in anger, my drink shaking onto my hand and clothes.

"Oh, dammit." I exclaimed as my jeans were stained.

"You okay?" May and Misty asked expressing concern.

"Yeah, I'm okay." I said taking one last look at Miette and Ash.

"You sure?" Dawn says walking over to us and winking at me.

"Ye-yeah." I said.

As we left just before the bell rang, a thought lingered in my brain. What's wrong with me?

As I pull my vibrating phone out of my pocket, I get a text from calem.

Wanna hang after school? I was thinking a movie?
