{Forbidden Love}

Chapter Two

Y/N's POV

I groaned as the sun shined through the cracks of the wooden ship.

I leaned up and let my elbows fall onto my knees and held my head.

My head was pounding.

"Ugh...what...happened...?" I muttered out.

Footsteps rushing down the stairs quickly woke me from my thoughts.

"Y...Y/N!!" Aaron breathed out.

He looked tired.

"You...alright?" I asked with concern lacing my voice.

"I...just...rushed down from the mast...We're docking..." He panted as he gasped for air.

"Oh...I gather up my things then..." I looked over to the small stash of leftover belongings from home...when I had one.

I picked up the small locket that was laying on a crate near the hammock and smiled as I opened the small heart shape and gazed at the small family portrait it held.

'Oh, Mother...Father...how I miss you...' I thought to myself.

I shut the locket and quickly grabbed my things and set them into the hammock and rushed to the deck to get to my job.

I saw Aaron helping in lowering the sails with some other crewmates.

I was interrupted by a loud splash noise and rushed to the right side of the ship to see what it could have been from.

I looked down at the waters which were shallowing as we got closer to docking.

I looked around but nothing seemed to be around to cause such a noise.

'It couldn't be a Mermaid! Why do I keep thinking of such fairytales!!' I yelled at myself and started to head back to find something to do.

I looked down at the floor dissatisfied from seeing nothing, but then saw a small somewhat heart-shaped reddish thing on the wooden floor of the ship.

I picked it up curiously and hid it in my pocket and continued my walk back.

"Ah! Y/N!" Captain Garroth smiled as he walked up towards me.

"Yessir?" I asked unknowing of what he wanted.

"I was wonderin...could ya accompany me to...tell...the Prince...about the neck-"

"That YOU dropped the necklace? That he specifically wanted? The one I almost died trying to get out of the ocean? THAT necklace?" I interrupted him feeling a bit of anger that he'd try to bring me with him to take some blame. "And what'll I get if I do?" I finished.

"I'll buy ya somethi-"

"No. I want actual pay. For Aaron...and his ship. Money. Not some item. Got it!" I growled knowing I was going to be ripped off somehow, knowing the Captain and all.

"Fine! Fine!" He groaned.

"Good." I smiled and walked away to finally find something to do.

Blaze's POV (FLASHBACK)

(So this is going to be a flashback POV...to the point when Y/N fell into the ocean to grab the necklace that fell)

I screamed as I swam as quickly as I could to rush away from the giant shark right on my tail.

I looked up seeing a strange brownish whale and quickly swam towards it hoping the whale would stop the shark.

It didn't work.

The shark swam faster and headed right for me.

I quickly reacted as the shark's jaws opened and I swam down to the shark would hit the strange whale.

As soon as the shark hit the whale, it made a small whining sound knowing it'd lost me.

I hid down in some reddish coral because I have bright red hair and the same for my tail.

I noticed the whale tipped a bit but it seemed unharmed.

I waited until the shark left and went to thank the whale for protecting myself.

"Thank you...Mr...Mrs...Miss?? Whale???" I said unsure what to say. "Thank you for protecting me!" I quickly said in the language I'd been taught if I had to speak to whales.

The whale didn't respond.

'Strange...'

As I finished talking to the strange whale...a glittering object fell slowly to the ocean floor.

"Ooh..." I mumbled as I watched it.

Quickly interrupting my thoughts, a creature dove into the water to what I assumed, to get the shiny object.

I hid not knowing if it was a mermaid or not.

I watched it for a few moments and realized it must be a Mermaid, it looked like myself and all.

I swam to it and saw it attempts to get the necklace.

It seemed to be weakening.

I grabbed onto it and held it, and realized.

"You're not a Mermaid!!" I gasped out seeing the strange two-tailed creature.

I swam it to where it came from because I think it was dying.

I let it go as I saw another similar creature trying to grab the weird female thing creature.

'What in the name of...WAS THAT?!' I screamed out in my thoughts.

I remembered the whale creature, knowing that usually the whales head for the Kingdom, and I followed it curiously and began talking to it again.

I looked up after moments of talking to the whale and saw the surface.

"It's dangerous...and poisonous to Mermaids..." I recalled one of the laws back at Mariana.

"Hmmm...Well, I'm going to try it. They said I'd die if I left the Kingdom, and I didn't...so why would this be any different!" I smiled and swam for the surface waters.

I got to a few inches from it and then swam so I was exposed to whatever "toxins" awaited.

I coughed taking in the strange air and then all seemed fine.

I swam back down under the surface and smiled.

"Wow! Nothing happened!" I smiled.

I was happy until I saw my arm...covered in red scales.

I screamed and tried frantically to get it off.

"THEY WERE RIGHT! IT IS POISON!!" I whined desperately to get rid of the strange scales that now covered my arms.

I swam to the ocean floor almost to tears after many failed attempts to remove whatever was now on my skin.

I sat on the ocean floor and closed my eyes whimpering.

A strange noise sounded and I quickly jolted up to see a Sea Bunny.

"Oh! Hello!" I greeted it with a smile forgetting the scales.

It made a small response and more Sea Bunny's showed.

"Aww~" I cooed as the cute little creatures appeared.

I looked back to my arm and thought of an idea.

"Do you know where I could get these...off?" I asked one of the Bunnies.

It responded with what sounded positive and it began moving to the small cave.

Inside seemed to be a throne for a King Sea Bunny.

I was interrupted by a ticklish feeling on my tail and saw the group of Sea Bunny's gently biting, even though it felt like tickles.

I began laughed at the feeling until a loud voice stopped them.

"Sea Bunnies!" They called.

A big Sea Bunny with a small crown now sat in the small throne.

"Oh, My...That's a BIG Sea Bunny..."
