Chapter 9

A Week Later

Liv's POV

It's been exactly one week since the accident. One week since Gia died. And tonight is her funeral. I'm really sad and shocked that she's dead. I should have listened to Maddie and never went. My parents were mad at me at first, but the didn't ground me because they said the coma was my "lesson".

Gia's funeral is tonight. I'm not ready. Like, I'm fine physically, there's nothing wrong with me. I'm just not ready to see Gia in a casket.

I'm dressed in a long black maxi dress and black heels. I have my hair in a ponytail and light makeup. Maddie is wearing a black dress with high top converse.

"Girls." mom says peeking her head through the door "It's time to go."

The funeral is so sad. I'm crying the whole time. Mason and Lucy came. I'm talking to Lucy, but not Mason. I mean, if he would have listen to me and slowed down, Gia would still be alive.

"Gianna Taylor Tanner. Even though she was a little rebel she was still an awesome daughter, friend, student, and big sister. She will be missed." the pastor says

Gia's little sister, Mandy tugs my dress. I look down at her.

"Yes, Mandy." I say

"What's wrong with Gia?" she asks

"Sweetie, she's sleeping. Forever." I say

"She's never going to wake up?" Mandy Asks

I shake my head. Mandy sighs and sits back.

"I wonder what kind of dream she's having. She'll tell me when I go to heaven right, Olivia?"

"Of course she will." I say "She'll tell you every single detail."

"Awesome." Mandy says "Sleep tight, Gia. See you soon."

At the burial sight Mason tries to talk to me. I ignore him. I really don't want to talk to him. I wish Gia was still here. I wish I never got in that car. I wish I could change everything. But I can't. And now someone's life was taken because of my stupid mistakes. This really sucks.

"Liv, please talk to me."Mason says "Come on, babe."

"I'm not your babe anymore!" I scream

"So what your breaking up with me?" he asks

"Pretty much." I scream "Mason leave me alone."

"So what it's my fault that Gia is dead?"

"You should have slowed down." I say

"She should have had her seatbelt on." Mason replies "She's dead because of her, not me."

"You got us all hurt because you wanted to be mister cool guy and speed around a curve. Your not a professional! Your not a nascar driver!"

"Fine,Liv." he says "Blame me! Blame me for every fucking thing! You know what, I don't need you. Your a stupid bitch. I just wanted to fuck you and leave you!"

I walk over to Mason and slap him. He falls over and his white tux get all dirty.

"Go to hell, you stupid bastard." I say

Then I walk over to Gia's casket, place my rose and leave. I love you, Gia and I'm sorry that this happened to you. And I sorry that I went out such an arrogant, stupid bastard.
