The town in this fic is not named, but I drew from the time I spend in Athens, GA  so you will see references to places in that town, because it very much represents the kind of town I pictured for this part.

Y/N's POV

The events of today's FaceTime incident flood my mind as I make my way out to the front door of Y/F/N and I's apartment building. I still can't believe she would do such a thing, well, I take that back. I can believe it, but seriously. I mean why would she think that would be a good idea. I just hope tonight's not all awkward.

Jensen is right on time, greeting me with a smile as I step out. "Hey Y/N!" He says quite bright and cheerfully. Okay so far so good.

"Hey!" I reply. I'm hoping we can just get a move on already, but he is just staring at me like I have something on my face or something. Oh great, just great, I was right, he thinks I'm a total weirdo. This is going to be a disaster. Finally, I get up the nerve to simply ask, "What?"

He lets out a small huff of a laugh, "Nothing. You just look really nice." He says with a sheepish smile.

My face flashed a quick shade of crimson at the sound of his compliment. "Thank you." I swear I will never not blush around this man. Good grief, get a hold of yourself woman.

"You're welcome." He holds, out his arm, "Shall we?"

I can't help but to laugh, as I link my arm with his, and we set off down the sidewalk.

Downtown is hopping as usual. The sidewalks full of energy as people are scurrying about, heading to dinner reservations, getting some shopping done, or are simply meeting a friend for coffee. This town is like no other. It's night life, truly takes on a life of it's own. Music floats on the air, and the colorful neon lights in the windows mix with the soft yellowish white of the old street lamps as we make our way past the little shops lining the road.

Jensen is taking in all the sights, "This place is so cool!"

"I know right? I can't believe I get to experience this town when we go in for recording sessions!"

We walk a little farther down the street before he turns to me with wide eyes, "I do believe you mentioned something about some pizza."

"Hungry are we?" I tease. "Yep. There is a pretty cool place here called Ted's Most Best. It's built into an old garage area."

He grins like a child, "Well what are we waiting for then!"

We decide on a couple different kinds of pizzas, and they are personal pizzas, so we can easily get both and split them. Once we place our order, we find a table outside. The atmosphere of this place is so amazing. I have been here dozens of times, but yet I am still just as enthralled by the looks of it. It's not some classy, sophisticated restaurant, nor is it anything extravagant wih it's decor. There's just something about it.

Our entire meal is spent laughing and talking about anything and everything. The twinkle of the stringed lights above our headed are shining like stars against the smooth black sheen of the night sky, and every now and then, I catch a glimmer of them in his eyes, making me slightly giggle at the fact that his 'fanfiction green eyes' are literally sparking.

Never in my life would I have dreamed that I would be sitting here, sharing pizza with Jensen Ackles, and joking around with him no less, like it was nothing. All the nerves that I had once felt, have faded. I am at ease around him, and I couldn't be happier.

We finish up our dinner, and pay the bill, before heading back out on our little adventure around town. I tell him about all the local iconic things, others he asks about, genuinely intrigued. Eventually we stumble across 40 Watt. "Feel like some music?"

"Huh?"

I point to the marquee just up the road a little way. "That's 40 watt. It's an iconic music venue!"

The show is nothing less than amazing as usual. We make out way out to the street once more, weaving in and out of the crowd to get to where we need to be. Somewhere in the mix of all of this, Jensen takes my hand in his. It's a welcome sensation. His touch is warm against the slight nip in night air. It feels safe and comfortable. It feels right. It feels more like home than any one person has ever made me feel.

I don't really pay any attention to much of anything for a while. I am too focused on relishing this feeling.

Jensen's POV

I never want to let go of this hand. Ever. Period. End of story. It's like it's made to fit mine. I'Be actually lost track of time tonight. Has it been 1 hour, 7? Who knows. Honestly, I could care less right now.

We stroll up on an old record shop, and Y/N's eyes light up. Before I know it, she's pulling me through the door. I don't think I've ever seen something so amazing. She's like a kid in a candy store, looking at these records. She has let go of my hand, and is exploring all of the vinyls this place has to offer.

I can't help but to stand back and just watch her in awe. Her eyes, her lips, and her spirit all smile ant once, and with that smile she abounds of joy. How the hell did I get so lucky, that I get to be the one here with her?

"Earth to Jensen..." She snaps her fingers, bringing me back to reality.

"Wha-huh?"

She just grins, "A little zoned out, huh?"

I let out nervous little chuckle, and rub the back of my neck. Dammit she caught me. "Yea, I guess so."

She asks my opinion on an album, and then takes off around the end of the display to check out the stuff on the other side. Not two seconds later, an older man, who clearly owned the shop comes walking up to me. I assume he is going to ask if we are finding everything okay, and I prepare my answer, but he throws me through a loop instead, "Son, I see the way you look at that girl. If you keep waiting for the perfect time, you'll wait forever." With that he nods and walks away, returning to his place behind the counter in the front of the store.

A few minutes, and a couple records later, we walk out of the shop, Y/N happy as clam, and head to get some ice cream.

The old man's words just keep bouncing around in my head for the last 30 minutes or so, and I am on the brink of going insane. Still holding her hand, I stop suddenly, causing her body to jerk to a halt as well. She looks at me bewildered, and I'm sure I probably have some weird look on my face, but that doesn't stop me. My free hand finds it's way to her cheek, as I lean in, pulling her nearer to me.

The moment our lips meet everything around us fades into a blur. The bustling street corner that was just seconds ago filled with music and chatter, now nothing but a faint buzz in the background.

Her hand rests on my side as she kisses me back. It's a whole new feeling. Her lips are like nothing I have ever tasted. Everything with in me is lost in this moment, and i never want to be found.

When we finally part, I notice the hint of blush rising to her cheeks, as she lets out a small giggle, to which I can't help but to reply with a little chuckle. "Probably a little overdue, right?" I ask.

"maybe just a little." She laughs.

We make our way to the ice cream shop, only to find a little bit of a line when we arrive. It isn't moving very quickly, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. A little while into waiting, Y/N turns towards me, and wraps her arms around my waist, resting her head against my chest. Her voice is barely above a whisper when she mumbles "Best night ever."

I rest my head on top of hers, rubbing her back softly, "Agreed."
