After Chris had finally put himself together and looked less like he'd been debauched so thoroughly in an open public space and with a promise of Derek coming to his place at night, he'd left with the his dignity somewhat intact, right up until the barista handed him a bottle of water and hummed;

"I hope you feel better", she chirped smiling slightly.

"Huh?"

"Well you're looking a little flushed sir, it's the weather, so be careful, we've been having quite a few regulars catch the flu going around", she smiled softly, "As it is our patronage is dependent on customers like you", she stated, "So remember to hydrate", she forced the bottle into his startled hands, waited till he grasped it, and continued; "Visit a doctor, and feel better!" she chirped again and then with a wave walked back towards the counter.

Chris sputtered a weak word of gratitude, and scurried out, his hunter instincts clearly weak, as he passed by Peter without even noticing him, surprising the wolf, long enough to inhale and then sigh heavily.

Derek snorted as he watched his uncle walk towards the barista with a disgruntled expression, "Apologies", he muttered when she took one look at his face and flinched, "But can you give me one of the strongest brews you have and the most flavorful option you have", he practically begged.

Confused the barista nodded, "We have that, but it's very expensive, are you sure?" she asked quietly.

"Yep", he nodded, "I'll take it", he handed her card.

Accepting the card she hummed, "Please have a seat the server will be with you shortly", she stated, swiping his card and handing him the receipt to sign and entering the spare into her system.

Peter hummed, "Actually I'll browse your menu, to the side and order something too", he stated after a minute, as if prolonging his inevitable agony. Derek snickered.

"Sure", she agreed grinning politely at him, and handed him a menu.

The barista turned and walked to her manager, enquiring how to prepare the cup of Kopi Luwak, as it was the first cup she had ever brewed, not to mention their tin hadn't even been opened yet. The manager stared at her for a few seconds in shock that anyone had even bought it, but then shook his head and walked to the kitchenette, to brew it himself, ordering her to pay attention. The barista nodded and watched as him turn to their stove he started with placing a pot of bottled water on it and started heating it, then in the coffee grinder they had, started grinding the kopi luwak beans, she watched as he added a table spoon of the coffee into the pot as soon as the water boiled to 95 degrees, and stirred it once, approximately for a few seconds before placing the spoon back into the sink.

"Won't you need to stir it again?" she asked quietly.

The manager shook his head, "No point, it will lose all flavor if we did that", he explained, "Watch closely why", he said as he indicated the pot.
