"Hey dad! You home!?!"

"In the kitchen!"

Stiles hummed, "You better be working and not eating grub in there", he warned as pulled off his jacket and removed his shoes at the entry way, grabbing his art supplies, and new ink skin markers, and the books from Peter's private library, to figure out what the heck a mate bond even was. The books were old dusty and just awfully thick, he already felt exhausted just looking at them, and he still had chemistry and English homework, as well as to prepare for that annoying math test.

"Have you had anything to eat?" John's voice asked as he grabbed everything and walked towards him.

"No, I thought I'd come home and just scrounge up something to eat", he answered.

"Excellent!"

Stiles frowned, "Why excellent? You don't like anything I make", he muttered and walked into the kitchen, eyes trained on the floor as he struggled to balance everything and still trying to zip his bag shut before everything else spilled out.

"Well we have a guest", the sheriff said and, "And I burn water", he shrugged simply.

Stiles looked up as soon as the bag zipped shut and he blinked at Jordan Parrish sitting half-risen opposite his father, several files open on the table and a sheepish shy smile on his face.

"Um..." he started less than eloquently.

"Hi", Jordan greeted him sheepishly, he moved and stood up quickly, and "Can I help with anything?" he asked quietly.

"Sure, can you get the veggies and wash 'em, I'll just put all this away", he paused then, "Dad sit down", he hummed, "Jordan make sure he doesn't go anywhere near that fridge, I know you've been sneaking bits of ice-cream here and there, Jordan you have a gun, so use it on him", he stated and walked out of the kitchen.

Stiles smiled softly as Jordan hummed, "He's surprisingly strict", he said.

John laughed, and "He's always been like that", he answered sipping something.

"He doesn't seem all that put together when we're with everyone else", he explained softly.

"Yeah I've never really figured out why though, according to Scott he just gets more annoying and loud", he hummed.
