Chapter one: The Fall

Tierney woke up on a beautiful morning Friday. "Wow I woke up today? Darn." Tierney said sighing. Tierney slowly sat up on her bed and looked out the window and noticed there are bars like you would see if you were in jail. "Huh, when did that get there?" Tierney asked herself. Tierney sat on the edge of her bed. "Maybe my mom put that there since the last time I tried to escape." Tierney said as she put on her shoes. "Tierney! Wake your sorry butt up and get down here and make us breakfast! You little brat!" The mom yelled. Tierney sighed. "Coming!" Tierney yelled back. Tierney got up from her bed and slowly walked to her door. "Why can't you make breakfast yourself?" Tierney mumbled to herself as she opened the door and headed downstairs. "There you are, how many times have we told you to be here earlier then this?!" The mom screamed. "A few hours ago?" Tierney replied. "Exactly! Your suppose to be up at 6 not 8 in the morning!" The mom screamed. Tierney rolled her eyes at her mom. "Whatever, what do you two want for breakfast?" Tierney asked as she walked over to the kitchen. "I would like a big breakfast this morning since you were late. I want pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon as well as some apple juice." The mom said. "Okay and you dad?" Tierney asked. "Hmmm, same as your mom youpathetic child." Dad replied. Tierney ignored his rude words and started to work on there orders. A few minutes later Tierney finished there breakfast and gave it them. "About time child!" The dad said. "Oh remember you don't get breakfast till were done with ours so why don't you be good today and get some chores done while you wait?" The mom asked. Tierney sighed. "Okay fine." Tierney said as she walked to the living room where the broom closet was. Tierney is at the broom closet and opened the door and grabbed all the cleaning supplies like a mop, broom, dustpan things like that. Tierney was about to start cleaning the living room when she realized that she isn't dressed and still in her pj's. Tierney dropped the stuff she is carrying which made a loud noise and she didn't care and walked back upstairs to her tiny room. Once Tierney got to her room she opened the door and headed inside while closing the door behind her. Tierney walked over to her small dresser and opened it and took out her clothes and tossed it on her bed. Tierney got undressed and put her pj's on top of her dresser to wear for later and closed the dresser and walked over to her bed and puts on a light purple baggy shirt with one light pink stripe in the middle of the shirt. Tierney also puts on a brown skirt and small boots. Tierney walks over to her door where she keeps a coat rack and grabs her dark red scarf her friend gave her before she somehow disappeared. Some people say she went to mt.Ebbot and never came back others say she was kidnapped and never found but Tierney knew her friend Niks wouldn't have left without her but she knew that Niks went up to the mountain because she loves mysterious things and the mountain is the most mysterious thing in Ebbot city and before Niks left she gave Tierney a scarf that looked like hers. Tierney putted on the scarf as a little bit of tears fell down her face and sighs. "I miss you." Tierney whispered to herself. Tierney then noticed a picture on her bedside table and walks over it. Tierney picks up the picture and places her open hand on it. The picture has all her friends on it who disappeared. The people in the picture are Tierney in the middle, then Joe behind Tierney hugging her, then Niks on the right side then Lindzay on the left side and Madi sitting in the middle in front of Tierney and finally Silver standing next to Niks drinking a smoothie. "Don't worry, I'm going to find you all." Tierney said as she is crying. Eventually Tierney manged to stop crying and sat the photo back on her bedside table and turned to walk to the door. Tierney wiped her face to make it look like she hasn't been crying. Tierney opened her door and walked out into the hallway and headed down the stairs and walked back into the living room and picked up the stuff she dropped and started cleaning the room. An hour later she was finally done and her mom walked into the room. "Wow you did a lovely job this time." The mom said. "Thank you?" Tierney said not sure if she should take it as a compliment or not. "Anyways you can go and eat now and remember eat only scraps that are left over in the fridge." The mom said smiling evilly. "Uh-hu I know." Tierney said. "Oh and also don't forget were going to mt.ebbot today." The mom said reminding Tierney. "Oh yeah but are you sure you want me to come?" Tierney asked. "Of course I don't want you escaping again so I got to keep an eye on you until I can trust you to be by yourself again." The mom replied. "Okay suit yourself, I'm going to go eat before we leave then." Tierney said. "Good now hurry up brat." The mom said as she walked away. "Yeah yeah." Tierney said even though she knew her mom couldn't hear her. Tierney walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge and grabbing scraps of what was left over for breakfast this morning. Tierney heated up the food in the microwave. Once it was done Tierney took it out from the microwave and headed to the living room and sat down on the chair and put the plate on the table and started eating. Since there wasn't much food on the plate she was done within minutes. Tierney sighs. "I wish I can eat more then this everyday." Tierney said sadly as she got up from the table and took her plate and walked back into the kitchen and put her plate in the sink and washed it. Tierney then put the plate away as soon as she dried it and went to find her parents. Tierney finally found her mom downstairs in the wine area. "Um mom?" Tierney asked. "Yes child what is it?" The mom replied back with another question. "I'm done eating now and ready to go to mt.Ebbot whenever you are." Tierney said. "Alright, I'll get your father and you wait by the door." The mom said. Tierney nodded and walked back upstairs. Wait maybe I could use this chance to escape again then I can find all my friends. Tierney thought. Tierney quickly ran up to her room and closed the door behind her and ran to her bed and got onto her hands and knees and pulled out a purple backpack her friend Joe gave her. Tierney put the backpack on the bed and unzipped it and grabbed her photo of her and her friends and put it safely into the bag and then went back on her hands and knees and grabbed a small black box from under her bed and stood back up and sat the box on her bed and opened it. Tierney took out a necklace from her friend Minty and gently put it in the bag and went back to the box and took out a bracelet from Silver and put it in the bag and also took out a blue diamond from Madi and put it the bag and finally took out a flower clip from her friend Silver and instead of putting it in the bag she decided to put it on her head. Tierney then threw other things she wanted or needed into the bag once she was done she zipped the bag closed and grabbed the strap and put it on her arm and walked out of her room and down to the front door. When she got to the front door and saw her parents waiting for her and they looked pretty pissed off. "U-Um hello guys." Tierney said, her voice a bit shaky. "You told me you were ready Tierney!" The mom yelled. Tierney winced a bit in fear. "I-I'm sorry I just had to grab s-something to do while w-were there." Tierney said in fear. "You should at least have told me!" The mom said and walked up to Tierney and roughly pushed her to the ground. The mom still had her hand raised and then she slapped Tierney across the face so hard making Tierney cry a bit. The mom was about to hit Tierney when the dad grabbed the mom's arm. "Honey?! What are doing?" The mom yelled angrily. "Look, I don't want to stop you but we don't want people to know we abuse our daughter do we?" The dad asked the mom. The mom sighed. "Your right, fine I'll continue when we get back." The mom said. The dad nodded in agreement. "Now get up and whip those tears freak child." The mom said and walked outside with the dad. Tierney slowly got up to her feet and grabbed her bag that fell and put it back on her arm and used her arm to whip her tears away and followed her parents outside. They started headed towards mt.Ebbot. "Why are we going to mt.Ebbot anyways?" Tierney asked. "Because there are suppose to be rare flowers that grow at the bottom of the mountain." The mom replied. "But what about the rumors of people disappearing at mt.Ebbot?" Tierney asked a little scared of the rumor. "Pfft, it's just a rumor it's not true. Besides the rumors said only the kids have disappeared so your mom and I have nothing to worry about." The dad replied. "But what about me? I'm a kid!" Tierney said. "Don't worry we don't plan on losing you, which is why were going to keep an eye on you." The mom said. Tierney sighs. "Lucky me." Tierney said. The three of them finally got to the bottom of the mountain and the mom and dad started looking for the flowers. Tierney looked up at the tall mountain, amazed by how tall it really was. Tierney stared up the mountain for what seems like hours when she suddenly heard a voice come from up the mountain. "Tierney! Help us!" A voice cried. It took Tierney a few minutes before realizing that the voice was real and not in her head. "Tierney, were scared please come." The voice said again. Tierney recognized the first voice. "That was Niks voice that first one and the second is Joe's voice." Tierney said to herself. Tierney kept staring at the mountain to see if she can hear any more voices from her friends. "Tierney, you have to save us!" Another voice said. Tierney knew that voice belonged to Lindzay. Tierney reached her hand out and up towards the top of the mountain as is she could touch her friends. "Tierney, we miss you." Another voice said. "Silver." Tierney said sadly. "You are the last hope for monster kind!" Another voice said. "Winter." Tierney said. "Save everyone. Even us, were trapped." The last voice said. "Madi, I'm going to save you all I promise." Tierney said. The voices then disappeared and Tierney knew exactly what she had to do. She didn't care if her parents were watching her and started running up the mountain. "Don't worry girls, I'm coming." Tierney said. Her parents then noticed Tierney was gone and saw her running up the mountain. "Forget the flowers, we need to go after that child!" The mom yelled. The dad nodded and dropped the flowers he had in his hand and him and the mom ran up after Tierney. "You little brat get back here now or your punishment will be worser then it is already!" The mom screamed. Tierney looked behind her as she ran and saw her parents chasing after her and picked up the pace. Tierney ignored all the things her parents were yelling at her and kept running. Tierney eventually saw a cave that was small enough for a child to fit through. Tierney not wanting to get captured by her parents and failing her friends dove into the cave and her parents just reached the entrance of the cave. "Get out here this instance you little brat!" The mom screamed reaching her hands inside trying to reach for Tierney but Tierney is to far back in the cave to get grabbed by her mother. "CHILD!!" The mom screamed. Tierney didn't listen and kept running deeper in the cave and no longer hearing her parents scream at her but she eventually tripped over a small rock she didn't notice and fell into a giant hole. "No! No no no no no! I can't die! Not yet! I need to find my friends!" Tierney screamed as she fell. Tierney fell for what seemed like an entirety. Finally she fell face first on a bed of yellow golden flowers. Tierney got inured by the fall and passed out from the pain.
