Chapter Five: Home Sweet Home??

Tierney has completed all of the puzzle's in the ruins and is now in the room where you find the knife but a stick is also there and a sign above the two objects that read. "Which path?" Niks read. "What does that mean?" Tierney asked. Niks shrugged having no clue herself since this wasn't here when she was alive. "Well I don't want to hurt anyone so I'll take the stick." Tierney said. Tierney bented down and picked up the stick and stood back up. "You have chosen the Pacifist Route." A voice echoed. Tierney looked at Niks confused. "Pacifist Route?" Tierney asked. Niks just shrugged. "Let's figure that out later." Niks said. Tierney nodded and they walked out of the room together and went into the room on the right which had a black tree and a house behind it. Toriel then came into view and looked like she was going to call someone until she saw Tierney and she put the phone away and walked up to her. "My child how did you get here by yourself? Are you hurt?" Toriel asked. "I had help and no I'm not hurt." Tierney said. Toriel sighed in relief. "I'm glad you are not hurt little one." Toriel said. Tierney nodded. "Why don't we go inside? I have a surprise for you my child." Toriel said. "Oooh! I love surprises!" Tierney said, excitedly. Toriel walked back in the direction she came from and Tierney followed. Tierney watch Toriel go inside but stopped walking as she saw a save point and decided to walk to it and save. "Seeing such a cute tidy house in the RUINS gives you perseverance/determination." A voice echoed. Tierney and Niks walked inside the house well more like Niks floated inside and Tierney walked. "Do you smell that? It is a butterscotch, cinnamon pie! I thought we might have it to celebrate your arrival and I will hold off on snail pie for tonight." Toriel said. Tierney smiled. "Sounds good to me." Tierney said. Toriel smiled back. "Now if don't mine follow me this way little one." Toriel said as she walked into the yellow hallway. Tierney followed and they both stopped in front of a door. "Welcome to your new home innocent one. This is your new bedroom I sure hope you like it." Toriel said. Tierney is confused by what she meant. "Bedroom? New home? Mom what are-" Tierney started to say but was interrupted by a burning smell in the air. "Oh is something burning? Um make yourself at home!" Toriel said as she ran to the kitchen. "What does mom mean by new home and bedroom?" Tierney asked Niks. "Not sure." Niks replied. Tierney opened the door and her and Niks walked inside. The bedroom walls are purple as well as everything else in the room. Tierney closed the door behind her and walked over to the bed and sat on the bed and took off her shoes. "What are you doing?" Niks asked. "Taking a nap, I'm exhausted we did solve a bunch of puzzles and spared alot of monsters." Tierney replied. "That's true and you do deserve a break." Niks said. "Exactly." Tierney said. Tierney layed down on the bed and turned out the lights that were next to her and pulled the covers over her. "Night Niks." Tierney said. Niks smiled. "Night Tierney." Niks said. Niks watched Tierney drift off into sleep. Since Niks couldn't sleep since she's a ghost now and decided to look around the house since the house was never there when she and Asriel always played in the ruins because they all lived in the castle. In the morning Tierney woke up and sat straight up after having a weird dream. but Tierney couldn't tell if the dream was a good dream or bad one so she just decided to call it a weird dream. Niks saw her sat up and floated over to her. "Are you alright Tierney?" Niks asked. "I'm fine it was just a dream." Tierney replied. "What was the dream about?" Niks asked. "Well the dream showed me all the monsters in the underground and then it showed me my friends and then I was in a black room and a voice said to me, you are the hopes and dreams of this world. I looked around for who ever said that and saw a child and they were the same age as me. They had short brown hair and brown eyes like you Niks except they wore a light blue bagged sweater with fuchsia purple stripes and light blue shorts and black shoes. I asked who they were but they said if I told you my name this world would be in peril. I couldn't tell if they were lying or not and I also couldn't tell if they had a gender because the room was so dark. Then they should me my soul and said it had some determination in it like there soul is. They showed me there soul which was fully red and they compared it to my soul which was fully purple until the two souls went next to each other and a red spot in my soul showed. They said that my soul is one of the strongest souls out there and unique like there's and could do the same things as there soul could. Then they asked me to if I could keep a promise to them and I said yes and they said could you promise me to save everyone and not kill anyone and not reset the timeline of course I promised them and that's when I woke up. But I'm still confused on what they meant by reset." Tierney said. "hmm that dream is interesting for sure and I can probably figure out what a reset is if you want Tierney." Niks said. "That would be very helpful, thank you Niks." Tierney said. "Your welcome." Niks said. Tierney then sat on the edge of the bed so she could put her shoes on. After she putted her shoes on and stood up and saw a pie on a plate on the floor. Tierney walked over to the plate and picked it up and putted it into her inventory. "Aren't you going to eat it?" Niks asked. "Nah, I'm not very hungry when I first wake up." Tierney replied. "I get it, anyways I'm going to go so I can research this reset for you. Do you think you can handle things while I'm gone?" Niks asked. "Yeah don't worry about me Niks, I'll be fine." Tierney said. Niks nodded and then completely disappeared and now Tierney couldn't see her meaning Niks went somewhere she couldn't follow which is fine since she wanted to find the others. Tierney walked over to the door and opened it and explored the house while trying to find Toriel. After exploring the entire house she found Toriel in her sitting chair reading a book. Tierney walked over to Toriel. "Oh hello my child, did you have a nice sleep?" Toriel asked. "Yeah I did, um I was wondering." Tierney said. "Yes little one was is it?" Toriel asked. "How do you leave the ruins?" Tierney asked. Toriel looked stunned a bit after Tierney asked that and tried to change the subject. "Oh um how about we read this book together! It's called 72 uses for snails! How about it?" Toriel asked. Tierney shook her head no. "Mom, I need to know how to leave the ruins. I need to find my friends, I need to know there okay." Tierney said a bit more sternly. Toriel then sighs. "I have something I need to do, please be a good child and stay here." Toriel said as she sat the book down as she got up. Toriel then walked out of the room and of course Tierney followed. Tierney saw she went down the stairs to the basement and followed.
