Jungkook's voice echoed in my head
"oh hell nah" the denial left my mouth before I could even process it. My voice came out louder than I expected as I stared at him
"No, she can't be"
But why? why was I reacting like this? why was I defending her when I was the one who had been suspicious of her from the beginning?
I didn't even realize my fists were clenched until Jungkook looked at me with a strange expression
"I knew you were suspicious of her" he said, his voice becoming more serious "can't you see it now? her identity and information were completely hidden, protected by high-ranking Mafia members, especially Taehyung!"
He stepped closer, his frustration obvious
"Yoongi. She's not just some random girl. She's the Mafia's daughter"
He paused "my ex"
My eye twitched
