I started examining my room. Its bigger than the one I use to have. The walls are painted with gray and white, I have my own table, mirror, a closet and my own bathroom.
But I only have one huge window covered with a white curtain beside my bed which is creepy and nice at the same time.
After unpacking all of my things I decided to look at the view outside my room.
A beautiful rice field was just outside. Captivated, I decided to paint it.
I placed all of my painting materials on a small table infront of my window as I started to paint.
After an hour, I finished my painting and placed it on top of my bed.
This place isn't so bad after all.
I continued to stare outside my window admiring the view.
It somewhat reminded me of my mom. She kept me calm and she was there to assure me that everything is alright. She was the one who got me into painting. She would often paint when I was around and tell me stories.
My thoughts were cut short when I heard a laugh.
A laugh which belongs to a little girl.
I started to panic remembering the little girl hanging from the tree.
Is it her? Is she here? Isn't she dead? No. Stay calm everything's ok. Don't panic breath in, breath out.
My hands started shaking and my breathing got faster as I frantically started to look around my beadroom.
No one's here.
Then I heard footsteps coming from outside my room.
Scared, I turned around and faced the window.
I saw a little girl with blond hair and dark brown eyes wearing a light pink dress and black shoes running around the rice field while carrying a teddy bear.
She looks like Lucas.
She then spotted me and waved. I'm still surprised to see her there but I waved back.
She looks so happy and carefree while she's running around and playing with her teddy bear. I miss being like that.
A knock on the door stole my attention from the little girl.
I just rolled my eyes and looked back at the girl. She's now sitting down with her teddy bear and started playing with a flower.
"Hey can I come in??" Lucas said while knocking the door non stop which started to irritate me.
"Why?"
"I just want to talk."
"Look if dad is forcing you to do this just get lost."
"No, he didn't force me to do anything."
I glance at the window before getting up from my chair.
The little girl is gone.
Where did she go?
I just shrugged it off then went to open the door.
"Hey!" Lucas said smiling.
Wtf. About 4 hours ago you were just mad at me.
"What do you want?" I said completely annoyed
"Look I just want to talk to you."
"Go on."
"Hey nice painting where did you learn how to do that? Did you took all of these pictures??" He said while pointing at my painting and photos I took from our old house.
"Cut the crap what do you want?"
"Ok I just want to say sorry." He said while taking a seat on the edge of my bed.
"I know you're mad at me for insulting you-"
"And for the fact that my dad chose to take care of you over me." I said cutting him off.
" Yeah and that but I'm sorry I made you feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed I-I'm just afraid of having a sister. I was being insensitive knowing about your situation.I'm really really sorry."
"Look it's really not a big deal. I forgive you." I said completely thankful that he chose to apologize.
"Thanks, it really means a lot."
We continued to talk for hours getting to know eachother and me laughing at him. Guess having a brother is not that bad after all.
"Did you really painted this?"
"Yeah, mom said it helps you calm yourself down."
"You really have talent." He said while touching the painting.
"Thanks, guess you weren't an asshole after all."
"Who said I was an asshole it was your fault you wore that hideous shirt. I don't wannna be related to a person with no taste in fashion. That shirt makes you look like shit btw." He said while pointing at my shirt.
"Ok I take it back you're just less of an asshole but still an asshole."
"Wow thanks I really feel the love." He said sarcastically while leaving my room.
"Bye asshole."
"Shut up dipshit!"
