We are walking down a very festive and busy street of new orleans. Everyone is out enjoying their time. Having drinks and laughing with friends and family. Something i wish i could enjoy with my cousin at this moment. But im leaving her rescue up to the malicious vampires, that i have some how bedfriended.
Klaus wont leave my side. Walking directly next to me. I would love to enjoy this time with him. But as you know im under in witness protection type situation at this moment.
"This is so lovely. " i say breaking the silence between us. Drowning out the background noise.
"Indeed it is." He says with a little geniune smile showing off hia dimples while he looks quickly at the ground.
"So can you tell me anything about yourself? Since we have all this time together now. We might as well get to know one another." I say hoping to have a decent conversation with him.
"Well im a thousand year old vampire." He says with a chuckle.
"I knew the vampire part. Dont you think you are to old to be my friend?" I say with some humor in my voice. Causing him to chuckle just a bit.
"Now tell me something about yourself love. " he says. I hesitate for a moment, only because i am trying to get to know him more. But it wouldnt be fair if i didnt give him thr same in return.
"Im from a small town in illinois." I simply state. He looks at me. No expression or emotion of any sort on his face. "Your turn."
"I have a daughter on the way." He states. I look at him in confusion. Well, thata big news. I dont think he should have told me yet. But i am enjoying his honesty. Thats the way we should have started our friendship out. Not the way we are right now holding me captive.
"Vampires can have babies?" I ask. From movies and books and things of that sort, i always read that vampire can not have children. I use to be obsessed with twilight. I am comparing real life vampires to the books and movies.
"No love. But i am a hybrid. Half vampire, half werewolf. My werewolf gene allows me to procreate." He says shifting his hands behind his back as we make our way down the street more.
"Ah, i see." I reply. Im not sure what to say or what to do. Thats big news. How do i evem respond to that?
"Love dont worry." He says. Km confused as to why he would even say that. What do i have to worry about? Besides getting my cousin safely returned to me.
Just then a girl with a pregnant belly walks up to us. This mist be the mother of his child. Its hayley. The girl i first met when i got here. I havent seen her since i was at rhe bar with klaus.
"Klaus come with me." She says.
"Whats going on?" He questions her.
"Davina found her." Hayley says looking in both of our directions.
