Season 9: Episode 2: Devil May Care.
(Outfit on top)

Dean and I sat in silence, the atmosphere tense as we drove towards his next destination. Earlier, he had told me to get dressed because he needed to meet someone, and with Sam busy once again, Dean had to take me with him — just in case a demon decided to show up. I fiddled with the sleeve of my jacket, staring out the window, trying to make sense of the whirlwind of events that had surrounded me since waking up with no memory.

As we pulled up to a stop, I pushed my hair behind my ear. Dean glanced at me. "Come on." We both stepped out of the Impala, and as we made our way into the building, something whizzed toward me at an alarming speed. Without thinking, I raised my hand and caught it just inches away from my face. My heart raced as I stared at the sharp arrow, its point nearly grazing my skin.

Dean turned to me, his eyes wide with shock. "The hell!" he exclaimed, his voice a mixture of surprise and disbelief.

I dropped the arrow, still trembling, and we both looked toward the source. A teenager — Asian, with a nervous expression — stood up from behind some overturned furniture, holding a crossbow in his hands.

"Dean? You're alive!" he said with a relieved smile.

Dean and I exchanged a glance. He bent down, picked up the arrow I had dropped, and motioned towards me. "You've got good aim, but if she hadn't caught it, you'd be dead," he said flatly, glaring at the boy. "Maybe check before you shoot next time."

The boy raised his hands in apology. "Sorry. It's been a rough couple of days. I haven't slept or eaten, and... I'm a little backed up." He paused, his eyes landing on me. "Who's this?"

Dean shifted uncomfortably. "This is... uh, Harper. Harper, this is Kevin."

He extended his hand out for me to shake, offering me a small smile. "Nice to meet you."

I slowly reached up giving him a handshake, glancing back at Dean, a look of exhaustion still etched on his face. "After we talked, everything here went nuts. There was this alarm, all the machines started freaking out, and the bunker locked down. I couldn't open the door, my phone stopped working... I thought the world was ending!"

Dean raised an eyebrow. "Close. The angels fell."

My head snapped towards Dean, my eyes wide with confusion. "The angels fell?"

Kevin looked equally confused. "What does that even mean?"

Dean walked towards him, taking the crossbow from Kevin's hands. "Nothing good," he muttered. He glanced at me before adding, "Next time the world's ending, grab a gun."

I rubbed my arms, trying to shake off the chill that had settled over me. "I don't think a gun would really help if the world's ending," I said quietly.

Both Dean and Kevin turned to look at me, making me feel self-conscious under their gazes. Kevin chuckled, pointing at me. "She's got a point."

Dean, however, just stared at me for a moment longer before setting the crossbow down and pulling out his phone. "I've got service again," he remarked, relief evident in his voice.

Kevin flipped a switch, and the lights flickered on with a loud hum. I winced slightly at the sudden noise.

"Maybe when you opened the door from outside, it reset the system," Kevin said, shrugging.
