Season 9: Episode 6: Heaven Can't Wait.

I yawned, stretching as I descended the stairs, my legs heavy from the lack of sleep. I could hear the familiar voices of Sam, Dean, and Kevin drifting from the computer room, their tones a mix of urgency and frustration. Pushing my messy hair out of my face, I walked into the room, drawing Dean's attention immediately. His green eyes landed on me, and he sent me a casual nod and a small smile that made my heart flutter, despite my exhaustion. I couldn't help but smile back, the warmth of his presence cutting through the weariness.

"Anything new?" I asked, stepping closer to where they stood, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of the computer screens.

"Cas called," Dean replied, causing my eyes to widen in surprise. I hadn't heard from Castiel since the day he revealed pieces of my past to me, pieces I was still struggling to piece together. "He found us a case. Four people missing in Rexford, Idaho."

I nodded slowly, my mind already racing. Before I could ask more, Sam chimed in, his voice thick with concern. "So, he said nothing about where he is or...or what he's been doing?" His eyes flicked between Dean and me, the weight of his worry evident.

"This is Cas," Dean pointed out, shrugging. "In case you forgot, he's not exactly Chatty Cathy."

Sam sighed, his frustration barely concealed. "And you're not even gonna see him when you're in Idaho?" His incredulity was clear in every word.

Dean turned, his voice firm. "Like I said, as long as he's catnip for angels, he's keeping his distance." He moved to leave the room, the conversation seemingly over in his mind.

Sam wasn't ready to let it go. "So then, what's the point, Dean?" he asked, stepping closer to Kevin now. "I mean, it's barely even a case." His skepticism lingered in the air, but Dean was already halfway up the stairs.

"That's why I'm just gonna have a little look-see," Dean called down, his voice carrying from the upper level. "We're not gonna waste a whole lot of manpower on a big pile of nada."

Kevin, always quick to throw a jab, called out next. "In other words, a perfect excuse to bail out on research."

Dean paused for a beat before shouting back, "You got me."

I chuckled quietly, glancing at Sam and Kevin before looking up at Dean. He caught my eye from the top of the stairs and grinned. "You're coming with me, so get ready," he said, disappearing around the corner before I could protest.

I shrugged, turning back to Sam and Kevin. "Guess I'm going with him."

Sam chuckled softly as I headed back up the stairs. "Good luck," he called after me. I smiled to myself as I reached the top, unsure if he was talking about the case or dealing with Dean.

I slipped into my room and sighed, eyeing the pile of clothes draped over my chair. It was a mess, and so was I. I didn't know how Dean always managed to look so put together when he was constantly on the move. With no real plan in mind, I grabbed random items from my closet, tossing them onto the bed, hoping they'd magically form an outfit. (Outfit up top)

Stripping off my clothes, I quickly dressed, glancing in the mirror at my disheveled appearance. I frowned, reaching for a brush and smoothing my hair down, trying to tame the wild strands. I stepped into the bathroom between my room and Dean's, grabbing my makeup bag and applying a bit of makeup.
