The swing of purpose

Hinata arrives to her Home in the Leaf Village, the time is 11am in the morning.

"It feels great to be home, I'm so excited to see everyone." Hinata is with her sister as they walk inside their home.

"Yes sister, yeah I agree, I was beginning to think we would never come back" Snarks Hinabi.

Hinata heads to her room, she opens her luggage and sees the red scarf and then has an idea.

'I will give it to him today. I will head to his house. I hope he's there, I miss him so much.'

Hinata finishes her duties and then packs the red scarf in her bag and starts walking to Naruto's apartment. It's around the middle of the day and she has no clue if he will be home, or if he's on a mission, but she goes anyways.

Hinata walks up the steps and stands in front of the apartment door. She knocks and waits to see. There no response.

After a few minutes of knocking, she doesn't hear anything, so she sadly turns to walk away, but to her surprise the door opens, but before it does she hears Naruto say "I will be right there Iruka, we still need to talk about the conversation I need to have today with her."

He opens the door in mid sentence and looks in shock when he sees Hinata. They are both speechless, Naruto doesn't say a word he stares and shakes his head as if he is seeing things, but then he realizes that Hinata is standing in front of him. Hinata begins to feel tears come down her face, when she hears what Naruto said and looks in his home, its clean, table is set with a nice lunch for two, and beautiful flowers. She stares at how gorgeous he looks all dressed up.

"I'm...sorry ....to interrupt you..... Naruto kun... I just came by to give you the completed red scarf..." Hinata quickly gives it to him and then starts walking away. Naruto grabs her hand and pulls her into him and gives her the biggest hug.

"Why are you walking away, thank you for the red scarf, you didn't have to, I told you I would cherish the piece you gave me a while back." Naruto's heart was racing, he then looks up at Hinata and sees what he thinks are tears coming down her face.

"well..umm.. you seem...busy...so I will leave" Hinata moves away from his embrace and just wants to run away.

"Oh I see, you see the set up in my apartment, do you want to know what the special occasion is for and for whom?" Naruto smiles thinking Hinata would understand and get the hint that's its for her, but he is sad to see her reaction.

"Naruto I can't take It anymore. I love you so much and here you are planning a date with someone else, it hurts me and I just can't do this...you are such an insensitive....." she is crying uncontrollably feeling so foolish for ever showing up to his apartment.

"Naruto grabs her hands and then goes down on both knees, please Hinata listen. Its not what you think, yes I have been insensitive to your feelings, I wasn't man enough to give you a response after your confession to me from the pain fight. I don't know what you think this occasion is for, but please listen, I did all this for YOU. I wanted to surprise you and respond back to you in a special way. I'm sorry for all the times I have made you sad and for how dense I am. I couldn't stop thinking about you, since you were out for six months, I was counting the days until your return. Please believe me there is no one else I would do this for ,ONLY you. You are the only one, this occasion is for you."  Naruto is hoping he didn't mess things up and lose the one person he cherishes the most.

Hinata is silent.

He continues. "Please forgive me for not being clear the first time. I'm sorry, I'm still learning...I'm sorry for making you cry... I'm sorry" Naruto is crying, hoping he was clear and that Hinata would stay and enjoy lunch with him. Hinata, gets on her knees with Naruto, they are both on the floor of his front door hugging and crying. Then Naruto grabbed Hinata's hand and they both stand up together.
