LUCA EMMANUEL DOESN'T necessarily take the vinyls because he doesn't want to pay for them. Yes, he is a broke twenty- three year old, and does he have the money to spare on many, many vinyls that have caught his attention?

The answer to that question is not really.

But that is beside the point.

Luca can't afford the vinyls, but the bigger picture is that he takes them for a totally different reason. Ever since he was young, Luca liked the thrill from doing something totally and utterly wrong. He loved getting in trouble, and he liked to think it was for the stories that came with it, and the laughter he would achieve from telling them. This concludes the point that Luca would probably do nearly anything if it meant getting someone to laugh.

This leads to the other reason why Luca borrows the vinyls.

When he moved here months ago, to the sleepy town in Washington, Luca had quickly made friends with it's residents. Everyone knew who he was, and if he walked down the street, he would receive many jubilant smiles his way. This made for a happy Luca, and it filled his heart with joy knowing that for a second, he had helped filled the world with an ounce of happiness.

Well, that was until he caught sight of the pretty blonde girl inside of Iris.

Luca had noticed she never smiled; in fact, there seemed to be a permanent frown sketched upon her face. Whenever he was in the store, he never heard a single bit of laughter out of her mouth; he only heard emotionless responses and the occasional sarcastic remark. This affected Luca greatly on a daily basis; he simply couldn't comprehend how someone could be swallowed up in sadness all the time when the world was so exquisitely beautiful. He thought at least that the world and life in general was meant be enjoyed, and that if anything, humans deserved to partake in the adventure as well.

So, to Luca, it only made sense that he made sure this would happen for the pretty girl, whom he still has no name for. He then resulted to taking and returning the vinyls, hoping that maybe  one day she would catch him, and find it so ridiculous that it would make her laugh. And then, his mission would be complete, and Luca would have another person he could call a friend and whom he could share smiles with.

He learned quickly that this, however, was not the case.

"Ow, ow, ow!" Luca grunted. "You know, you could've just asked me to follow you!"

The girl gave another tug on his ear as she pulled him to the front of the store. "I'm aware."

  "So then why didn't you?"

"I've always wanted to pull someones ear like in the movies; this was my chance. Now, shut up."

As they neared the counter, she shoved him towards the stool, making him take a seat. Crossing her arms across her chest, she glared at him as he rubbed his ear, grimacing.
