PENNY SEVERELY REGRETTED agreeing to letting Luca work at her store the moment he left that afternoon. He was everything she couldn't handle; loud, talkative, and extremely outspoken. He seemed to be the kind of person who could drop his ice cream cone on the ground, but could still manage to be beamingly splendid. This didn't make sense to Penny; if she had dropped her ice cream cone, she would then continue to curse the Earth and everyone's cow. That, however, is besides the point. While these things did make Penny outrageously annoyed at all moments of any day, deep inside, she new the real reason why he made her this upset. He made her feel lonely.
She couldn't deny how warm he was, especially compared to her own lack of warmth. He radiated light while she brought darkness everywhere she went. And while Luca brought warm, sunny days, Penny brought rainstorms and hurricanes. Luca managed to spread his warmth everywhere he went, attracting every person around him, like bees and honey. And the fact he was so likable and just so homey made Penny realize just how sad and lonely she really was.
Penny stumbled into her cold room, turning off the lights before crawling into her bed. As she tried to create a false sense of warmth from the comforters, she felt a wetness on her cheek, due to a small tear that escaped the cages around her heart.
"Damn you, Luca Emmanuel." She muttered, pulling the blankets closer as another tear escaped. "Damn you."
LUCA PULLED THE covers
up to his chin, smiling to himself as he thought of the blonde haired beauty from this afternoon. Sure, she pulled his ear and continually ignored him; but there was more to her than what met the eye, and Luca liked that. He had asked around town about Penny, wanting to know more about her. But all he heard was how others thought that she was too cold, or that she was too harsh of a human being; that she was so rude to never mutter a hello their way. None of them thought she could possess any warmth in her small body. They couldn't see her as enough; and honestly, Luca thought to himself, they just didn't see her.Luca could see Penny; he could see the flames running through her veins and the sunny days in her eyes. He could see parts of her shine though.
She was warm, at least, to him.
Luca snuggled further into his covers, a small grin on his face as he closed his eyes.
"I see you, Penny Lane." He muttered to himself and the blinking stars. "I see you."

Just a small author's note! I've been having the urge to write lately, so expect more chapters soon. This one was just a small one, but important :) Luca just makes my heart melt, and I wish I could give Penny a hug :(
