Danielle's PoV

I Walk Down The Stairs In The House That I Share With My Dad and I See Him Making Breakfast. I Place My Bag Down and I Say, "Morning Sir" Her Father Grunts and Snaps, "Good Morning Brat" I Roll My Eyes and Dad Turns Around and Places My Breakfast On The Table.

I Shake My Head and Say, "No Thanks. I'm Going Out With Annie Today" Dad Growls and Barks, "No, You Are Not. You Will Sit Down and Continue With Your Studies" My Anger Rises and I Shout, "Bite Me, Asshole!" I Feel The Back Of His Hand Come In Contact With My Cheek and His Rings Cut My Face. He Grabs The Collar Of My Hoodie and He Roars, "I Am Your, Father So You Will Obey Me!" I Spit In His Face and Bark, "Fuck You!" He Pushes Me To The Floor and Stamps On My Stomach.

He Begins Undoing The Button On His Pants and When The Button Is Undone, He Fights To Take My Pants Off. He Growls At Me and Yells, "Stay Still, Whore!". I Growl and I Kick Him In The Balls and He Loosens His Grip On Me and I Stand Up and I Grab My Bag and My Wall Verification Pass and I Sprint Out Of The House, Leaving My Father Crumpled In Pain.

Tears Drip Down My Eyes As I Make It To The Forest. Out Of Options, I Sprint Towards Annie's House and When I Make It There, I Knock On The Door. The Door Opens To Reveal Mr Leonhardt. The Man Smiles and Says, "Ah! Danielle! It's So Good To See You! Please Come In!" I Nod and Sniffle, "Thank You, Mr Leonhardt" I Walk Into The House and I Sit On One Of The Chairs At The Table and I Wipe The Tears and Blood Off My Face.

Mr Leonhardt Looks At Me and Asks, "Good Lord. What Happened To You Child?" I Stiffen, and I Lie, "Nothing Sir. I Swear It..." He Crouches In Front Of Me and Replies, "You Can Tell Me Anything. Was It Your Father Again?" I Whimper and Nod "He.... He Beat Me and He.... Tried To Rape Me" I Stutter and I Hear A Growl Leave Mr Leonhardt's Throat and He Pulls Me Into A Tight Embrace and He Says, "You Can Stay Here Until He Calms Down. I'll Deal With Your Father" I Nod Into The Older Man's Shirt and I Mumble, "Thank You. I Don't Mean To Be A Burden" Mr Leonhardt Shakes His Head and He Replies, "Your Never A Burden. You Will Always Be Welcome Here" I Nod and I Hear Two Sets Of Boots On The Stairs.

I Whirl Around In My Chair and I See Mrs Leonhardt and Annie. Annie's Eyes Light Up When They Lock Onto Me and She Yells, "Danielle!" I Grin and Yell, "Annie!" I Walk Up To Her and We Pull Each Other Into A Tight Embrace.

Mrs Leonhardt Smiles and Says, "It's Always Good To See You Danielle" I Pull Away From Annie and I Turn To Her Mother and I Say, "Thank You Mrs Leonhardt" The Woman Smiles and Mr Leonhardt Picks Me Up and Sits Me On The Table and Mrs Leonhardt Grabs A First Aid Kit. Annie Sits Next To Me and Helps Me Through The Pain As Her Father Cleans and Stitches Up My Cheek

Mr Leonhardt Pulls Away After A Few Minutes and He Says, "There! All Done" I Smile and Say, "Thank You" Annie Clutches My Hands As She Bounces On The Balls Of Her Feet and She Asks, "Mother? Father? Can We Go Now?" Both Of The Older Leonhardt's Nod and Annie and I Slid Off The Table and Are About To Walk Out When We Get Startled By A Knock On The Door.

Annie Holds Me Tightly and Mrs Leonhardt Pulls Both Of Us Close To Her Legs As Mr Leonhardt Opens The Door. He Clenches The Door Handle and Growls, "Lucan" I Whimper As I Hear My Father Ask, "Where Is She?" Mr Leonhardt Ignores The Question and Snaps, "You're Not Seeing Her. Not Until You've Calmed Down" I Hear My Father Whimper and He Pleads, "I Have! I Swear It! Please Let Me Apologize To My Baby Girl" I Shake My Head and Annie Squeezes My Hand.

Mr Leonhardt Sighs and Says, "It's Danielle's Choice Not Mine. You Have To Respect Her Answer" I See Dad's Shadow Nod and He Grunts, "I Will" Mr Leonhardt Looks At Me and I Tentatively Nod and Hide Closer To Mrs Leonhardt.

Dad Walks In and He Spots Me Immediately and He Crouches In Front Of Me and Says, "Danielle? Look At Me Sweetheart" I Shake My Head and I Nuzzle My Face Further Into Mrs Leonhardt's Leg. Dad Looks Down and He Whimpers, "Honey.... You Know I Love You" Mr and Mrs Leonhardt Scoff and Mrs Leonhardt Snarls, "Yeah. Loving The Poor Girl Is Trying To Rape Her Isn't It Lucan!" Dad Looks At The Woman and Cries, "I Didn't Mean Too! It Was The Booze!" I Scoff Quietly and Look Away From The Man.
