"You topped the others in the exam, with a combined sc-" I didn't let hologram All Might finish before I slammed my door open, for the second time today, and ran towards the kitchen. I didn't even notice the few steps that slightly elevated one half of my house, as I speed down the hallway.
"MOM, I-I MADE IT! I MADE IT IN!" I yelled at the entrance of the kitchen. It smelt just like mom's katsudon, which is what it probably was. Before I knew it, I was engulfed in a bear hug, both me and my mom crying tears of joy. We were a heap of green hair and tears on the floor, giving each other small 'I love you's to each other.
...
In the week before school started, I think me and my mom bonded more than the last fifteen years of my life. In all my mom's handiness, she gave my curly, fluffy green hair a haircut, that went down just below my chest. I told her to leave the bangs, because the last time we went to a hairdresser, they gave my bangs a 'light' trim. I haven't bothered to touch my bangs since then.
She also gave me a headband that she made herself. It was a blueish-green wrap around band, that had simple felt leaf cutouts sewed to it. When she put it on me the night before school started, she handed me a mirror, and you could see the lining of tears in my eyes.
Now, I was booking it down the street, headband and hair brush on my head. I woke up early out of excitment, did all my hygiene needs, and fell back asleep. With around two minutes before the bell rang, I was wandering the halls of Yueei. I had gotten directions from a kind second year, and I knew I was near. What I wasn't expecting though, was a door labeled 1-A, that looked like it was built for someone with a gigantification quirk.
My hand hesitated infront of its handle, before I reluctantly opened it. It seemed like time stopped, and everyone's light, but loud, conversations paused. All eyes turned towards me, and the sweat on my back beaded together and dripped down my back, before I spotted Uraraka. I ignored the yells that were being thrown my way by Bakugo, and headed her direction.
"Uraraka! Help me! My brush is stuck in my hair, do you think you could use your quirk on it?" I asked her with a shaky smile.
Her shocked face turned into a kind smile, and she answered back, "Of course! You'd be surprised by how many time I've gotten my hair in a knot." She proceeded to erase the gravity in my brush, and somehow all of my hair. The brush detangled itself from my hair, and floated to the high ceiling with a soft thud.
My hair looked like it was underwater as it slightly bobbed up and down. Uraraka took her padded fingers and softly ran them through my hair. When she was done, she brought her hands back together, and gave a small release.
My know silky, green hair slowly fell to my shoulders. Although, midway of my hair falling, the loud hit my brush made scared me, then a tap on my shoulder made me give out a loud yelp. I stumbled backwards, and tripped on my own feet.
"Oww. That's gonna leave a mark," I said with a small hiss from the pain.
"I'm sorry for scaring you, miss. I would like to introduce myself as Iida Tenya. Please excuse my behavior at the exams, it seems as if you caught on to something that I could not!" He bowed at a perfect ninety degree angle, and turned to met Bokugo's intense glare in my direction, "And you! Get your feet off that desk. You are disrespecting the past upper-classmen that once used it too!"
"FUCK OFF FOUR EYES!" Was Bakugo's simple but impactful reply. I was about to get up from the tiled floor, when a girl with earphone jacks as earlobes gave her hand to me. "Kyoka Jiro, nice to meet you."
I looked at her hand for a second, before giving her a small smile and grabbing it. She pulled her arm back while I pushed my legs up.
"Midoriya Izuku. Nice to meet you too. Also, I like your hair." I said. She gave me a thank you with a small smile, before turning and walking towards a kid with the head of a bird, and striking up a conversation with him.
