My training was hell.
My goal was to clear a beach, clean up the mounds of trash on it, and open up the deep blue ocean horizon, without using my quirk. Before we started, barely being able to lift fifteen pounds was an understatement. I had underdeveloped muscles, and if you really wanted to, you could poke my arm with a tiny bit of pressure and feel my bone.
I knew from the beginning that I would feel immense amount of pain, during and after training. I would stretch any chance I got. I did my homwork early in the mornings sometimes, while the stars and the moon were coming down from thier temporary stage. I still took my hero notes, my hand cramping every five minutes. While lectures were givin out, I did hand exercises below my desk.
I told my mom about the training, not giving her any details besides asking her to feed me more. I held up like an old trooper, just hardly holding on.
As training went on, I noticed changes in my body, and not just the building in my muscles. I guess puberty arrived with my quirk, because the six years I missed came rushing back in a few months. My brain wasn't sure on how to react to these modifications, especially since some of them were big (a/n if ya' know what I mean).
Exactly two weeks time of the entrance exam, I stood on top of the last piece of rubble. I let out the last ten months of aggravation, stress, pain, blood, sweat, tears, and discomfort through my vocal cords. Rivers ran down my freckled cheeks, and onto the sand.
"Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!" I heard All Mights booming voice said behind me, "I didn't expect you to finish this early! Come down from the that refrigerator, I must give you something."
I hopped down into the soft sand, and stepped into my shoes. I wiped my eyes until they felt dry, and looked up to All Mights tall figure. He was in his transformed state and had his usual bright smile on. I hope one day I can smile into the face of fear, and protect those around me. I knew what clearing the beach meant, I knew what he was about to give me.
I was about to inherit All Might's quirk, One for All.
"I surely do hope that you remembered what I told you before training. I told you that you would be the successor of my quirk, One for All. If you are positively sure about this, you will be the ninth person to wield this power. You must promise me that you will use this for good, and for good only. And don't be afraid of someone stealing the power from you, it's the wielder's choice to pass it down. So, do you, Izuku Midoriya, accept my offer?"
The sun glared into my eyes, but I didn't dare blink, for my eyes showed my determination. Without hesitation, I said the one word that would change my life forever, "Yes."
My eyes cuaght sight All Might's big hand traveling towards bright, yellow blonde hair, and pluck one single strand of hair. He delicately brought to my eye level, and with his signature smile, he said, "Eat this."
I was about to burst out into laughter, thinking that this was a joke. But when he didn't laugh it off, was it only then I realized he was being completely serious. My vocal chords seemed to stop working, like someone had just cut the strings on a violin, and left it sitting there. My face obviously showed my shock, because he then let out a small chuckle. 'So it was just a joke,' I thought, and expected him to say something to back up his prank, but it never came.
"You have to consume my DNA somehow to acquire my quirk."
'It really isn't joke'
"Well, I t-thought that i-i-it was go-oing to be some kind o-of ceremonial st-stuff, not e-eating h-h-hair!" I exclaimed. I looked up at his looming face, which still had a smile on it, it just gave of a different vibe. So I took the single strand of hair from his hands. I stared at it at little longer before swallowing my pride,
