It didn't take long for Chompoo to realize what was going on, and the slap she gave Ae was well deserved. The "I hate you" ran in perfect time with Ae's inner emotions. The moment she ran away was the moment Ae let his entire mind go, sobbing harshly into his knees as he hugged his legs. He couldn't believe he was so selfish. He loved Pete with his entire being. He was always protective but he went out of his way to save Pete, to make sure Pete was okay and to give Pete the love he deserved. And yet, the way their relationship ended was with Ae basically proving he didn't give a shit about him.

Ae knew that wasn't right. He would give his life to see Pete's smile. Ae just cried harder at the idea of never seeing that smile again. He didn't hear the door open, but he did hear Pond scoff at him.

"Do you really have a right to be crying? This is your fault," Pond spoke, voice lower than Ae had ever heard before.

"Pond..." Ae whispered, voice hoarse. He had never felt like this before, never felt so utterly ruined and broken. He knew he deserved this pain but it doesn't mean it hurt any less.

"You know we had to call to get Tin to pick him up? He was crying too hard to even drive. I haven't known Pete as long as you have but he's honestly such a sweet boy, why did you play him like this?" Pond asked, eyes dark just like Pete's were but he seemed genuinely curious as to why this happened, even if his body language made it obvious that he wasn't Ae's biggest fan. Ae hated the fact that everyone hated him. He hated that he caused everyone to hate him.

"I don't know! I don't know..." Ae complained, placing his head pack on his knees. "I should have stopped her, but I didn't. This is all my fault, I know. And I don't know to fix it." He heard Pond walk over to him, heard the other man sigh again. He felt Pond wrap an arm around his shoulders and listened intently when the other started speaking.

"Look. I'm not going to get your hopes up, Pete probably wants nothing to do with you. And it will also be near impossible to talk to him right now with Tin and Can too now, probably. So don't talk to him, at least not right now. It won't help anything. But, I'm not saying he won't forgive you. If he forgave Trump for a little bit, he can forgive you."

Ae never knew he would be compared with the man he tried to save Pete from. He never knew he would become that man. Lesson learned.
