A carriage drops off a girl, who the female narrator announces to be Poppy O'Hair, at Ever After High. Her twin sister, Holly, greets Poppy with gusto. The female narrator claims that it is Poppy's first day at Ever After High, and that she does not have a legacy because Holly was born first.
Baba Yaga asks Poppy if she has picked her classes yet. Poppy says no, because many classes sound like fun. Yaga tells her she will have to decide today, as her classes start tomorrow. Holly asks how her choosing her schedule went, and Poppy tells her that she must choose a destiny by tomorrow. Holly advises her sister to ask other students what they think about destiny.
First on is Apple White, who claims it's not easy being a Royal, but it is worth it to be with princes and live in castles. Next is Tiny, who claims if you're a Rebel, you don't have to be a villain. Briar Beauty, who says that being a Royal is living every day to the fullest. Cerise comes along, telling Poppy that just being herself is most important. Poppy agrees, and asked about Cerise's highlights, getting close to taking off her hood. Cerise quickly claims that her mother does them and leaves.
At the end of the day, the O'Hair twins meet in the common room. Holly asks Poppy what side she's picked, and Poppy claims she's not going to take a side. Instead she has been inspired to take on both values and be a Roybel.
