Annabeth's POV:
After the meeting, I walk home. I sure hope this works.

"Okay class, I need your essay handed in by the end of the day," Mr. Blowfis tells us, ruffling through my eight-page paper.
Percy raises an eyebrow at me, "Eight pages? I can't even write five." He says holding up four and a half pages of written work.
I laugh and mutter, "Seaweed Brain."
He looks at me, "What?"
Oh hell no, not when the plan is just being launched. I fumble in my brain for something. "I was singing a song."
He stares for a couple seconds before shaking his head and nodding, looking away. Phew.I lean back in my chair. The bell rings to my delight and I head to Science.
Thalia plops herself down next to me in Science, "Anything go south yet?"
I smirk at her determination, she said that she'd rather him date me than any other girl in this school, which I found flattering. "I accidentally muttered Seaweed Brain and he said 'what', so then I told him it was just a song I was singing. I think I convinced him, but you can never be too sure." I confess.
Thalia nods her head at this, "He'll either forget or he will think not much about it." She laughs.
Smiling, I focus on copying the notes in the board. I can't believe this is my last year. I feel happy that I'll finally get to escape this dungeon and move on, but at the same time I created so many memories here with my friends. Graduation seems so surreal. All of this is moving fast, like don't get me wrong, I want to start my life, but this is scary fast. It feels like I'm still in grade 9, but then again it seems so far away. Ugh. I'll miss this place, and the memories, and yes some of the people, but not all of them.
An hour passes, and I end up finishing my report, happily handing it in to a shocked teacher. The bell rings when I get back to my seat, pulling my bag up and stuffing The Fates Divide in it.
Lunch comes around and I find myself listening to Frank and Jason complaining about how their football, Coach Hedge, gave them extra homework just on strategy.
"It's pointless, what good will it do?" Jason asks.
I pipe in, "A lot actually. You can overcome them with just brains. Don't ever underestimate a nerd or geek."
Percy laughs, "I learned that lesson from you. But I still bet I could take you on."
I raise an eyebrow at the challenge. "I highly doubt that. I could probably just override you with my strength."
Percy snatches my book, smiling, "Take that back."
I glance at his hand, which is bending a couple pages, "No! Your bending the pages," I say frantically, standing up.
Percy stands up too, holding the book away from me. By this point the whole cafeteria is watching and I can practically feel Drew's glare piercing my back, but I don't care. He is bending the pages. Percy re-adjusts his hand so that he's not bending them, but that doesn't stop me from jumping onto the table. Percy's smile grows when I jump down to beside him. I face him, "Give it."
Percy pretends to contemplate, "No."
I grab his wrist, give him a pointed look, and judo-flip him. When he's on the ground, I pin him to the ground. I realize how close we are, our noses touching.
Percy's eyes glitter, looking to my eyes then my lips and back again. Just before our lips touch, Leo shouts.
"Get a room!" He remarks.
Percy's face goes red and mine probably matches him. I climb off of him and he hands me my book. I go back to my spot, as the whole cafeteria is silent. That's when our whole group bursts out laughing, and soon Percy and I are joining in.
Thalia is the first to realize the cafeteria is still looking, "Shows over," She calls out. They all avert their gazes, all but my step-sister who are steaming and Drew who looks ready to punch a wall.
***
After school came quicker than I thought, I was ordered by Drizella and Anastasia to stay with them while they try on the slipper. Turns out the line was massive, and we didn't even make it halfway before Percy called it a day. He spots me and comes over, as everyone leaves, in hopes to get a better spot in line next time.
"You're here?" He questions.
I nod, pointing to step-sisters retreating to their cars. "They made me stay."
He smirks, "Ah, I see. Anyway, you missed a conversation today and I told everyone that I'd tell you."
I lean in, wanting to hear more. "Where was I?"
Percy gives me a goofy grin, "The library."
"Well?' I prompt him.
"We all discussed going to my house for a sleepover this weekend. Wait today is Friday. So tomorrow, yeah, tomorrow. I don't know if you want to come, but it'd be great if you did, but yeah if you – "
I cut off his rambling, "I'll come."
His face brightens, and I feel myself getting lost in his eyes. "Alright then, see you tomorrow then, Annabeth." I like it when he says my name. I wave, watching him go.
