Finally Free (Niall Horan love story)

Chapter 18

“This is a really good car Leigh” Niall said looking around in his seat.

“Thank you.” I said rubbing the steering wheel.

“Can I drive…him?” Niall asked. I turned my head and looked at him, first I was shocked. No one ever is driving my car but, Niall, he looked so innocent, and cute how could I say no. But I didn’t want to say yes. “Pllleeeaasse.” Niall said putting his hands together begging.

“Yes, ok” I said without thinking.

“What?” He wasn’t expecting my answer, hell I didn’t expect my answer.

“I…don’t…know” I said without any emotions.

“So, can you pull over then?” He said and I did. I may as well get this over and done with. The quicker the better. I love my car.

“If you wreck him i-“I said taking my seatbelt off then Niall cut me off.

“I will pay for it. I know.” He said opening the door and closing it. Because my car has bench seats I just slid over to the passenger side. I put my seatbelt on and Niall opened the door and sat down, he put his seatbelt on and started the car then drove.

“This drives amazing, I might just buy one.” He said after a bit.

“Yeah, if you can find one. Their old so you’ll have to look around you can’t buy them at a car shop, plus you’ll have to do it up, any way, it will never look at sexy as Alfie.” I said patting the seat.

“Yeah, still. I think I love this car” Niall said. I turned my head and looked at him.

“You don’t know what love is. This car is more than just something you love.” I said with squinty eyes. Niall just burst into laughter.

“Yeah…But will I be able to drive him around more often?” He asked hoping I would say yes. And because I’ve always been a Niall Horan fan I said this.

“Only if you marry me, love me and care for me forever.” I crossed my arms and turned to the window smiling at myself.

“I will do that.” I had a feeling he wasn’t supposed to say that out loud.

“What.” I said smiling like an idiot

“What. Um… I mean.” He started saying

“Yes you can drive him maybe one more time.” I said. Niall smiled. After a little of driving around Niall started heading out of town.

“Where are you going?” I asked him

“I’m exploring, I haven’t been this side of town before” He said as he turned a right, towards a forest.

“Ok.” I said. I turned the radio on and we sang alone to every song we knew and laughed and joked. We lost track of time and it was nearly dark. After driving though some tunnels and over bridges we came to a dirt road and went down it. It all of a sudden stopped and there was an opening. We got out of the car and walked to the edge of the cliff. All we saw was building, houses, cars. It was amazing and beautiful. And because it was nearly dark all the lights where on.

Nialls POV

“This is beautiful.” Leigh said. She was just standing there looking over the city. It was beautiful. I come here all the time. I just didn’t want Leigh knowing that. I wasn’t this to be our thing, not my thing.

“It is. Isn’t it.” I she turned to look at me and I looked away. Why was I scared to look at her. I turned around and walked back to the car. I opened the door and got. Leigh just looked at me.

“What are you doing? I want to stay a little longer.” I just heard her say. I turned the car on and drove towards her.

“NIALL.” She started yelling. “NIALL” I stopped about two meters from the cliff edge, and then I got out.

“Niall, you scared the shit out of me, you were just driving towards the….cliff.” She crossed her arms. I then jumped up on the bonnet of the car and sat down and watched the city.

“What are you doing? OH SHIT I forgot to get all the stuff for Alfie, he probably feels like shit and well now he has your butt on him.” She was freaking out.

“Just calm down, you can do it tomorrow, I’ll help you, but for now just come here and sit down with me. It’s not every day that you can spend your time with the Niall Horan.” I said and she just laughed and listened. She sat next to me and it felt like I couldn’t breathe properly. For what seemed like five minutes (but really it was way longer ‘because the sky was black and all you could see was stars and the city’s lights,’) and asking questions to each other and getting to know each other Aleigha started getting tired, but she didn’t want to leave. But we got back in the car and headed back.

When we got back to the hotel I had to wake her up because she fell asleep in the car.

“Leigha, wake up” I said shaking her shoulder. She wouldn’t wake. I thought I would take this time to just….watch her. I didn’t want to be creepy or anything it’s just she looked so peaceful and beautiful. After about a minute or so I tried again.

“Leigha, wake up, we’re back at the hotel.” I shook her a little harder and spoke a bit louder. I didn’t want to scare her. She moved and then woke up. She started rubbing her eyes. She looked so adorable when she did that.

“Sorry.” She said

“It’s ok.” I smiled at her and when she turned her head around to look at me I didn’t move. We just smiled at each other. She then broke it by taking her seatbelt off and got out. I did the same.

“Can you hand me my keys?” She asked

“Sure.” I took them out and gave them to her.

“Thanks.” Then she walked around to the driver’s side and then locked the door.

“Sorry I have to leave you in the cold but they won’t let you in.” She said rubbing the bonnet. It’s crazy and cute at the same time.

“I’m sure he will be fine.” I said and she just nodded.

We walked into the lobby and then in the elevator. I checked the time on my phone and it was nearly eleven pm. The doors opened and we walked out. She came to her room and there was a note on the door.

Hey Leigh, we are out and we didn’t mean to but we left the key inside, and the door is locked. Hope you have a key hehe

“SHIT” she said.

“What?” I asked

“I left my key inside too.” I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Well you can just stay with me…again…if you want.” I asked her.

“But I haven’ got my PJ’s.” She said “I don’t care. I’m tired, let’s go to bed.” She started to walk to my room. I got my key out of my pocket and opened the door. We both walked up to my bed and then went straight to sleep. I don’t know what it was but I had a way better sleep when Aleigha was in my bed.
