2 days later...
it was 7:00 am, Christina was sleeping peacefully for the first time in weeks, until her alarm rang, she groaned as she turned it off and dug her head into her pillow as she felt a quick pain in her lower back from when matt pushed her against the wall a couple days ago.. she didn't have to be at work today but she did have to pick up max from Jordan's house so she had to find a way to manage driving without screaming her brains out from the ache in her body
she sat and stretched a little before standing on the cold floor, she began walking to the bathroom slowly but the pain in her ribs made it almost impossible to walk.. or even breathe actually
once she made it to the bathroom she brushed her teeth, fixed her hair into a messy bun and applied a small amount of makeup, she stepped out of the bathroom and slipped into a long sleeve white sweater that said 'city of angels' on it and a pair of black leggings, her blonde hair was curled to perfection as she topped it off with a simple beanie and a pair of flats
she started walking downstairs but suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach, she held her stomach tight and tried her best to slow her breathing down a little, she tried to ignore the pain as she made her way to the kitchen, matt was in there making breakfast and coffee for both of them, christina didn't say a word to him because she felt fear everytime she was around him, she was afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing
by this point it was only 8:23 am, christina had about an hour before she had to be at Jordan's house so she grabbed her phone and sat on the chair at the kitchen counter, matt glanced over to her quickly and placed her cup of coffee in front of her as he went back to making waffles
christina was lost in her thoughts for a few minutes, she was thinking of old times, when matt wasn't so abusive to her, when he was the one who actually helped her through anything she was going through, if anyone tried to hurt her he would be the first to stand up for her, but that's all changed now. now he's the one who's hurting her physically and emotionally..
her train of memories stopped when she felt another sharp pain in her stomach, she let out a small moan as this time she found it getting harder to breathe, she tried not to panic as she held her stomach tight and a small sound of pain escaped her lips, it was loud enough for matt to hear her though
he turned around a little and saw her with her head lowered while she was holding her stomach tightly in pain, he sighed and hoped he didn't do any damage that would lead them to the hospital because if that happened, they would find all the cuts and bruises and he'd most likely go to prison for a very long time
he placed some waffles on a plate because she hadn't eaten anything for the past 2 days "come here" he said in a quiet tone with his hand out for her, showing some care but not enough to regret what he's done
she had a few tears falling from her crystal blue eyes, the pain was undescribable. she looked at him and wiped her tears away quickly but that was useless because more tears just kept on rolling down her cheeks, she stood up and walked to him like he told her to, but found it hard to do so when her ribs felt like they were being stabbed over and over again
she clutched the side of her stomach tightly when another striking pain kicked in and tore her muscles apart, the tearsdrops fell from her eyes and onto her cheeks as she stood in front of matt and kept her gaze to the floor
"eat something" he said in a calm tone as he took her hand, gesturing her to sit in the chair. she sat in the chair and wiped the remaining tears away
"i'm not hungry" she said in a weak, quiet voice that cracked slightly from crying so much
"you haven't eaten in 2 days" he said as a small sigh left his lips
