Chapter XVI: Enrollment III [Part II]

"This school, with its asinine 'Bloom'/'Weed' labeling, is teeming with people either wallowing in their sense of superiority or drowning in their sense of inferiority," Mari said in a serious tone.

"To tell you the truth, I've been fed up with it all, speaking for myself," Mari said with a sigh. "Fortunately, both Mayumi and Jyumonji of the Extracurricular Activities Federation know what kind of personality I have. They've used their recommendation slots to pick people who are relatively immune to those kinds of sensibilities," she said with a smile, "Their feelings of superiority may not quite be at zero, but they're good people who can evaluate others' skills fairly."

Mari put her right hand on the table, and her left on her hip, "I don't think this place will be all that uncomfortable for you," she said.

The two male students walked towards Yuuki.

(A/N: Now remember, he's a she this time, so you can't exactly shake hands with a female according to Japanese Norms.)

"I'm Tatsumi Koutaro of Class 3-C," said the short-haired male student as he walked up to Yuuki, "Nice to meet you, Shiba-san," He said bowing at a 45-degree angle.

"Able girls like you, are more than welcome here!" he said with a smile.

The long-haired male student from behind him, "I'm Sawaki Midori of Class 2-D," he said, "Glad to have you onboard, Shiba-san," he said bowing at a 45-degree angle as well.

Yuuki gave them a small smile, "I'm first-year student Shiba Yuuki," she said, "Likewise, it's nice to meet you, too," she said while bowing at a 45-degree angle.

The two looked away as a manner of respect to not look down her uniform.

Mari smiled at the interaction.

~Timeskip to Night~

~Third Person POV~

Yuuki and Miyuki were at home now, having returned after the debacle from the Student Council Match.

It was close to Midnight.

Miyuki was seen wearing a white robe with white fluffy slippers. 

She was standing outside the door, with her CAD in her hand. The CAD was white in color and looked similar to the smartphones from 2016.

(A/N: Btw, did I mention that this thing is set in the near future?)

"Excuse me," said Miyuki in a soft voice, as she walked into the room as the door slid open. She had a light blush on her face; in front of her was her elder sister, who was working on something in front of a monitor.

"Um...." Miyuki said nervously.

"What's up, Miyuki?" Yuuki asked with a small smile, stopping momentarily and looking at her younger sibling.

"Onee-sama, I'd like you to recalibrate my CAD..." Miyuki said in her soft voice.

Yuuki stood up and walked to Miyuki and asked, "How so?"

She took her CAD and set it on the dock made especially for Yuuki's CAD next to her system.

"The Restrictive-type Activation Sequence...I'd like to increase the personal combat variations," she said, as Yuuki docked the phone and looked to Miyuki.

"It hit me while I was watching today's match," Miyuki said, as her hands were clasped in front of her. "Spells that place an emphasis on speed that enable you to render your opponent powerless while sustaining the least damage, it's an area in which I believe I am lacking," she said in a serious tone.
