Sometimes doing what makes us happy means being selfish and hurting others. We need to do more what is right even if it doesn't make us happy in the moment. We need to be responsible, committed, and reliable and hard working even if it's not what makes us happy in the moment. Too many people put their current pleasures and comfort ahead of others and ahead of their long term success and happiness because they misunderstand what this means: always doing "what makes me happy", then wondering why their life is empty and walking away from jobs, marriages, children, school, etc. just because "I'm no longer happy".
This work is a journey of life, love, heartbreaks, struggles, lost, regrets and hope. To all fellas who'll read this, please, have a life out of your comfort zone. Feel the freedom of yourself. Because it's always a great relief if you enjoy your own company.
