Harry Potter Fan-fiction.
Sadly, it's a guilty pleasure I indulge in. I am a huge fan of Harry Potter: Methods of Rationality. I've read some very well done fan-fictions and I love the characters.
One thing I think this genre is lacking; original content.
I love what-ifs. I love reading the different pairings and I have always advocated that Hermione and Harry should have been the main couple. I won't get into details, but if you message me, I can give you a good two page expose as why.
Our story is unique. Marion and Darion Blyth are twins. Marion and her mother moved to America after she left their father. Darian stayed behind. The story is going to be written in letter form and will describe the seven year experience between the two children.
I hope to have 40 letters a year (It takes some time to get an owl across the atlantic and the entire contenent of north america and don't for get the 12 weeks of summer) I will update once a week in real time.

Alderwood Academy is a school that merges muggles and wizards. The Headmaster, Maggy Dryden, believes in integration and that Wizards who do not learn from the muggles are not only only hurting themselves but holding back society as a whole.
Muggles are still oblivious to the Wizards, but the wizard students are encouraged to intermingle.
Alderwood Academy is on the cutting edge of technology as well as magical studies. They did away with the house system and students are sorted into a 'Circle" best suited to their talents. All strive to reach the center after passing through the other circles. It's common for children to 'graduate' to another group.
Camaraderie is the focus, not competition.
