Sonmei's POV

*Ding* I wake up to a message alert.

One message from Hansoul:
Hey Sonni bear, I miss you so much, lets see each other today okay? I'm sorry. I really am, but you know how I am.. plz forgive me.

I lightly toss my phone to the end table and just stare at the ceiling.

I sigh, "I don't know anymore...but I'm so used to it. Ill just see him, maybe he'll change after the second time."

It's been a week since I've seen him.

Life is just a routine to me, work, pay bills, work, pay more damn bills, see boyfriend. Is he even my boyfriend now? It's happened so many times, but I always go back to him. Like I said, life is just a routine, everything is a habit. Nothing ever changes for me.

But today I'll change that.

"Okay Sonmei, you can do this! You can go back to school."

I get up out of bed and go wash up. I get my bag and grab my book and papers to enroll back into school. I leave out my front door and walk my way to the main street to the bus stop. As I wait for the bus I text him.

Me: Hansoul, let's meet today at the cafe near that one park. U know the one with the pond? I'm enrolling back into school, I'd like to celebrate with you. I forgive you . 

Hansoul: Okay love that's great. I'll see you at four over there Okay?

Me: Okay :)

The bus is here. I get on and scan my card to get on the bus. About 20 minutes later I arrive at the stop where I need to get off. I get out the bus smiling remembering how happy I was going to school. Now that I think about it, I only had to worry about finishing assignments. Now I have to worry about rent and on top of that my student loans.

I'm walking towards the university campus and as I turn the corner, bam.

Oh god what did I do now?

My papers scatter over the floor. It felt like a minute really. Im so stupid and I'm so embarrassed,

"God, I'm so stupid... always bumping into things, why am I even holding all of this? I have a bag for a reason..."

I didn't realize I was mumbling to myself and someone helping me pick up my things. The man helping me heard me. He gives me a weird look.

"Oh... I'm the one who should be sorry. I was rushing."

He hands me my papers back.

"Oh, sorry, I mean uh... I'm sorry, thank you for helping me pick up my things...thank you again, bye now."

I get up and put my things in my bag.

"Thank you again and sorry." I bow and walk towards the campus.

Ugh that was so embarrassing, way to start off your day Sonmei. I face palm myself.

I walk into the university gates and I walk towards the admissions office. I then walk up the steps of the office and open the door. I see a familiar face. It's Jooyoung, the only girl that was in my class to sit next to me and talk to me.

"Sonmei?!"

"Oh, Jooyoung?"

She hugs me tightly and looks at me with awe.

"Wahhh Sonmei, it's good to see you, are you here to enroll back into school?"

"Yes, hopefully I can go back in."

"Oh I'm so happy for you. It's really nice to see you. Oh, please take my number, I have to rush to class."

I take out my phone and we exchange numbers.

"See you Sonmei! Text me or call me, please don't hesitate! I'm here for you if you need help with anything! Bye!"

She leaves the building and I could feel someone looking at me. The air was awkward.

I look to left to see an older student. He has round clear framed glasses on and a SnapBack on.

"How can I help you miss?"

"Umm, Oh sorry. Uh... I'm here to enroll."

"New or returning student?"

"Returning."

"Full time or part time?"

"Part time."

I hand him my documents and papers. He looks at them and does something with the computer.

"Oh, Kim Sonmei? It says here that you finished one year of university and you took a one year leave."

"Oh yeah, I had something going on plus, financial issues... but I really want to enroll back into school."

He smiles, and wow he has nice dimples.

"Of course you can enroll back in. I'm here to help you with that..okay let me see.."

He takes a minute and he says something to me.

"Um miss? It says here you have an outstanding balance on your account. I can enroll you I , but in order to register for class, you need to pay the balance. You can pay it in full or in four installments. I'll print you the balance and all you have to do is sign up for a payment plan online at the website provided on the bottom of the sheet."

He hands me the sheet and I see the balance.
School tuition: $15,500
Grants: $10,500
Loans: $2,000
Remaining balance: $3,000

Okay Sonmei, you just need to pay that and you can do it gradually right? Don't worry, you want to go back to school.

Suddenly a thought comes to mind

I can ask Hansoul, I mean he's my boyfriend, and I helped him. Maybe he can help me.

"Oh, thank you, uh what was your name?"

"Namjoon, Kim Namjoon"

"Thank you Namjoon."

"You're welcome."

I open the door and walk down the steps. I stand there.

"Yes!!!!!"

I jump in the air from happiness.

I'm back in school, I can do it, I saved and Hansoul will help me. I mean, he owes me that much at least. Now, time to treat myself to something sweet.
