Liv’s POV
We started onto the work immediately and the boys acted interested but they looked bored by the halfway point. “Alright study break”, I said putting my pencil down.
“Can you do that?” Kale said surprised.
“Well I’m hungry and you guys’ girlfriends robbed me of my first meal so yes officially legally I can go grab a snack”, I said standing up and left the room heading downstairs.
“Hey”, Matt said running to catch up with me.
“Hey Olive”, dad said walking up the stairs.
“Go”, I said pushing Matt back but it was too late because my dad ran up the rest of the way up the stairs.
“Who is this?” dad asked looking at Matt. I wasn’t sure what to say so I just kept my mouth zipped shut. “You look familiar”, he said unsure looking at Matt.
“It’s Matthew”, I said then mouthed, “the alpha”.
“Olive was just giving teaching me math”, Matt said and I had the strong urge to gab him in the stomach for calling me Olive.
“Oh I heard about the lessons Olivia’s broke her last one during the summer”, he laughed.
“Good to know we’re both getting something out of it”, he smiled.
“I’m sorry about your father he was a good man”, he nodded.
“He was and my mother sends her regards”, Matt said then went back into the bedroom.
“What are you doing hanging around him?” dad said as I walked downstairs.
“He’s paying me twenty dollars an hour dad did mom buy licorice at the store”, I said looking through the bags.
