Liv’s POV
I watched him leave the room before the entire world caved in and my eyes closed. It felt like I was going through hell my entire body was on fire and it consumed me entirely. Somewhere far away I heard people crying and I wondered what they had to cry about. Suddenly a voice blasted through the wall of fire a voice I’d know anywhere. “God damn it Liv you can’t die”, he yelled, “I love you damn it you can’t leave me I love you”. I couldn’t lose him like this I loved him too much. I had to fight this no matter what I wasn’t leaving him alone and I wasn’t ready to go yet. I pushed back at the fire I won’t surrender.
“Don’t fight it”, a voice said, “it’s your time”.
“No”, I replied forcing the fire wall back, “I’m not going anywhere”.
“Let go”, it whispered, “It’s going to be okay”.
“NO”, I yelled back at the fire.
“You’re just slowing it down you can’t fight this no matter how much want to”, it promised.
“I’m not leaving”, I told it.
“Come on your family will be better off your life is in the past”, it told me casually.
“I’ll love you forever”, Matt said and I felt his kiss on my cheek. That kiss did it in I felt a fire ignite but this one was on my side.
“No it’s your time don’t fight this”, it said panicked.
“I can fight this and I’m not giving into you because I’m real and you’re not”, I said pushing the flames out through my body.
“You can’t escape this”, it warned.
“Watch me”, I thought.
“You’ll see”, it said then the flames went away and a vision came across my mind. I was laying on the beach watching the waves roll in and I felt someone sit down next to me. I smiled as the breeze flowed through my hair cooling me down from the sun’s rays.
