*Second Person's POV*
The morning sky is a cloudy grey, the air is cool without the light of the sun. A gentle wind blows through, carrying the faint scent of the sea with it. It goes well with the current atmosphere.
Astrid and you walk side by side, your dragons following behind you, save Rahzar in the sky. An awkward silence hangs between you. You two may have gotten over your differences with each other over the dragonroot incident, but that doesn't mean you two know how to particularly talk to each other. You've butted heads for so long, you don't know where to even begin to form a closer relationship. Sadly, you don't have Varor around either since he is taking Astrid's shifts surveilling Berk for the Agirifa.
Astrid picked you up from the twins not too long ago. She doesn't really have anything planned for today, so she's heading back to her house with you. It's a huge contrast to the wild day you had yesterday being out and about with the twins.
"Here we are," Astrid announces, gesturing to her home in front of you two. "Stormfly has a dragon stable outside here. Her spines get caught in the doorway. Skyler can come, but Rahzar has to stay."
At that moment, a gust of wind hits you, throwing specks of dirt everywhere. Rahzar lands behind you, looking at the house. He lets out an irritated snort, narrowing his eyes at it, then turning to you. He doesn't like being separated from you.
You smile reassuringly at him, raising your hands up to him. He lowers his head so you can cradle it between your hands. "I know you hate staying outside, but you don't fit. It's okay, I'm not that far away." You stroke his brown scales. "Stormfly can keep you company out here while I'm inside, alright?"
He lets out a begrudging gurgle, not happy, but he's not going to complain. He pulls away from your hands and settles down by Stormfly's stable.
With that sorted, you, Skyler, and Astrid enter her home. It's similar to the other homes, but it's got weapons on display here and there on the walls. Everything is orderly and clean, not a thing is out of place.
"You've... got a nice house," you compliment.
Astrid looks back at you, "Oh, uh... thanks. I like to keep things organized."
You two then proceed to stand there, silent. Neither party looks comfortable about this.
"So..." Astrid looks around. "Anything I can get you? Food? Drink?"
You fiddle with your necklace, "Maybe some breakfast? I can help you cook to make things go faster."
"Yeah, we can do that," Astrid nods. "The kitchen is this way, come on." She leads the way farther into her home. Bringing you to a room with cobblestone floors and a large fire oven by the wall. There are a few shelves and a pantry in here as well.
Astrid takes a basket from a shelf, opening it, revealing eggs inside. "Can you get the fire going while I get the ingredients?"
You nod, "Sure thing."
You set about retrieving some wood from the chopped pile in the corner. Tucking a few under your arms and carrying them to the oven, where you place them on the blackened bottom. Taking up the flint and scrap of steel you found next to the oven, you strike them together, like Hiccup taught you. It takes a few tries before a bright spark leaps from the rocks and ignites the wood.
"That'll work," Astrid comes up beside you, gently depositing stuff on the counter.
You stand up from your crouching position, "What are we making?"
