(Redrew the outfit the reader is wearing since I don't like my old art of it anymore)
The bed is really comfy. I can tell it's probably time to get up, but I don't want to. I'm having the best nights rest, and all I wanna do is savor it a bit longer. Before I'm forced to take care of Chief duties.
Something bangs into my door. I scrunch up my face in irritation What now? Just let me sleep before I have to work today. Whatever it was messes with the doorknob a bit. It shakes as something scrapes it. Could it just please stop?!
There's a pause in its attempts. I settle back down in bed. Finally.
The door slams open. Toothless roars out in surprise.
"Can't I get some sleep?!" I yell angrily. Throwing the pillow over my head.
There is muffled whining and some roaring that isn't from Toothless. It sounds like another dragon. The sound of claws scraping wood and heavy footsteps stomp the ground. I groan loudly into the bed. I guess I can forget going back to sleep.
I rip the pillow off my head and sit up. "What is all the commotion about?!" I rub my eyes and look upon the scene.
Toothless is up on his feet and he's wide awake and alert. His claws are digging into the floor more than normal, and he's rustling his wings anxiously. The other dragon that burst into the room is Skyler. Her violet eyes are thin slits and she pacing around frantically. Her wings are slightly splayed and she keeps letting out low cries of distress.
"Hey, easy, easy." I raise my arms out to the dragons and keep my voice gentle and soothing. Toothless settles down quickly, but Skyler still looks panicked and is now pacing in place. She whines at me. "What is it girl? What's going on?"
Apparently she isn't in the mood for charades because she walks up to my bed and grabs the sleeve of my night shirt. I yelp as I'm literally pulled out of bed.
"You don't need to do that. I can walk on my own," I complain. Trying to pull my arm free. She doesn't let go, and pulls me through the doorway. It's a tight squeeze to get around the dragon, and my one foot gets pinched in the process. "Ow, ow... Okay, ah..."
Skyler drags me down the hallway before finally letting go of me in front of an open door. She shoves her head into my legs, forcing me into the room. "I'm going, I'm going." I tell her as I stumble into the room.
I look around and realize instantly it's (Y/N)'s room. Skyler's saddle is even taken off and put in the corner. As she does every night to ensure her dragon is comfortable. Only, (Y/N) herself isn't here. Neither is her Guardian, Varor and his dragon, Remus. Remus's saddle and Varor's bow is gone strangely enough. Yet Skyler is here and very distressed.
"Where did they go?" I ask Skyler.
She lets out a long whine and shakes her head.
"You don't know?" I try to read her.
She again shakes her head, dropping her gaze to the ground.
I frown at the bed in the room. It looks slightly rumpled. Like it had been used. So she did come here last night when we returned to the village. Maybe they left the house? Though it's incredibly strange that Skyler was left here. (Y/N) usually went everywhere with her dragon.
"Come on, let's look for them." I speed walk back out the door. Having to squeeze past Skyler and Toothless in the hallway. I head to my mom's room. I knock on the door first, giving her some warning, before bursting in.
