*Second Person POV*
It's late morning and you have left Astrid's home. Last night you had a fitful nights rest. You kept waking up and then failing to go back to sleep because Hiccup kept popping back in your mind. Coincidentally, it's now Hiccup's turn again to watch over you. And now you are on your way with Astrid and Varor to his house. Every step bringing you closer to him and making your heart feel all sorts of things.
"I'm not sure about this Astrid," you muttered as you walked.
"You'll be fine. What's there to worry about? If anything, Hiccup is more of a nervous wreck than you," Astrid pointed out.
You fiddled with your necklace. "I know, but this love thing is still so new to me."
"You'll figure it out. We all aren't perfect at it," Astrid reassured.
You simply reached out a hand to tangle in Skyler's fur beside you. Understanding this new feeling made things so much more complicated. Yet it was exhilarating at the same time? It was all so confusing.
You glance at Varor who's trailing a bit behind you two. "Hey, Varor. Do you think you have any... tips?"
He snaps to attention, "Huh?"
"She's asking for dating advice," Astrid restated my question.
"Oh," was his eloquent response. He frowned to himself for a bit. "Get flowers?" He more so asked then answered.
Astrid gives him a deadpan look.
He raises his hands in mock surrender. "What? Sorry. I'm not on my best today."
You frown at him. "You've been quiet all morning, Varor. Is everything okay?"
He quickly nods, "No, yeah I'm fine. I think all the extra shifts are just catching up to me. My mind keeps wanting to walk out."
"You should rest," you suggested. "No one is making you volunteer for more shifts."
"I know," he admits. "I just want to make sure Berk is safe. The Agirifa aren't nice people, and I don't want Berk sharing our home's fate."
You open your mouth to say something, but he lifts a finger to cut you off.
"Besides, I don't want to miss what's going down today. It's bound to be entertaining." He smirked at you.
"Glad you find my embarrassment funny," you reply shortly.
Hiccup's place is now in view from your position. However, much to your surprise, Hiccup is outside. He's talking with Snotlout and Fishlegs, and telling from his face, he didn't look too happy. More like annoyance directed at the two with him.
That's when Snotlout notices your approach and smirks, patting Hiccup's arm. "Oh, would you look who's here."
You give a wave back to them.
Hiccup looks your way and becomes startled. A nervous smile plasters itself on his face as he sees you all approach. Like he was caught with his hand in a cookie jar. "H-Hi there. What are... What are you three doing here?"
Our group stops in front of them. Astrid plants a hand on her hip as she gives him a look. "It's your turn to guard (Y/N), remember?"
"Oh yeah, right. How could I forget?" Hiccup laughs as he rubs the back of his neck.
