Cory glances at the young princess and smiles before starting the story. "I was on my way back to my room when i heard a loud roar coming from down in the basement. The roar was so loud that it shook the castle, im surprised that you didnt wake up. I walked down the hall towards the secret stairs when i heard footsteps, but they sounded to loud to be a person. At first i thought it was an angry giant. And you know what calms down giants right?" He looks at her. She smiles "A hug and some cookies" He smiles and nods "Yup, So i got some cookies from the kitchen and headed down into the basement. And thats when i saw it."
He sits up and looks at the princess before grabbing blanket and wrapping it around his shoulders so hes covering his head and arms. "I saw a giant, purple dragon." He closes the curtains and turns off the lights, then shines a flashlight at a wall. He starts making shadow puppets on the wall that looks like a big dragon and him to give the story life. The young princess watching with amazement in her eyes.
"The dragon had sharp teeth with green eyes, it had spikes going down its back down to its tail. Its wings were really long and tall when the dragon lifted them. When it flapped its wings everything in the basement flew, even me, but luckly i held on to the wall. The dragon was chained to the wall to make sure it doesnt leave the castle. I tried sneaking back up the stairs, but the dragon saw me. it wrapped it's tail around me and."
He disappears right in front of the princess. She gets up and goes to where Cory was standing in front of the flashlight. She looks confused. Next thing she knew she was thrown over Corys shoulder so she was hanging upside-down. She yelps and looks at the shadows on the wall. The shadows looked like she was being held upside-down by a dragon
Cory roars a bit to act like a dragon not letting the princess see him before continuing the story. "The dragon lifted me up, held me just like this and asked 'what i wanted' The dragon stared me in the eyes as it waited for my answer." He says. "the dragon can speak?" The young princess asked while trying to look at Cory. "Yes, the dragon asked again and finally, i answered 'I heard you roar and i was going to ask if you could keep it down, i have a young princess upstairs sleeping and i dont want her getting scared from the noise.' After i told the dragon that you were sleeping, she set me down on my feet." He says and sets the princess down in front of him as he starts to finish the story "Then what happened?" The princess asked "The dragon apologized before laying down and falling asleep." Cory says
"Do you want to know what the dragons name was?" He asked while kneeling in front of the princess to get to her height. The princess nods quickly, eager to know the name of the dragon "The dragons name was Knight." The princess smiles "Thats what you are, you're a knight" She says
"Hm...i guess you're right" He smiles and puts everything back in their rightful place before holding the princess's hand and walks to the dining hall with her so she could eat lunch. After the princess sits down, Cory goes to his place, outside the dining room and guards the doors.
