Keith's thigh was bleeding, a lot. A lot more then it should. It was throbbing with pain and Keith seethed through his teeth.

"Shit... this is bad..." he muttered pressing on the gushing wound.

Lance's shoulder wasn't as bad. It hurt, but it wasn't bleeding as much as Keith's was.

"How close are we?!" Lance said diving down to Keith. Looking at the wound.

"Almost their! I need to get these ships off my ass first so hold on!" Pidge yelled as she maneuvered the mechanical lion.

"Hurry up, Keith's bleeding." Lance said desperately.

"So are you idiot!" Keith groaned and lurched seizing as soon as he did, regretting the action.

"Not as bad as you, and stay still!" Lance retorted taking the clunky armour off of Keith's leg to get a better look at the wound. Trying to be as careful as possible.

Keith flinched as the armour slightly grazed the tender skin around the wound.

"Sorry..." Lance apologized and slowed down his movement.

Keith only shook his head and looked up at the ceiling as soon as the wound was visible, not wanting to se the damage.

Lance sighed as he looked at it. Muttering curses under his breath. It was bad, blood stained the under suit and started dripping on the floor.

"Is it that bad?" Keith whispered, feeling Lance's worry.

"Pidge do you have a medical kit in here?" Lance yelled, avoiding Keith's question.

Pidge points to a cabinet above the cockpit without saying a word, trying to avoid the Galra. Lance stumbled across the floor grabbing Pidge's chair as a brace and opened the cabinet, where the medical kit was. Lance grabbed it, closed the cabinet, and fell back towards Keith.

Keith flinched as the Lion lurched, causing a jolt of pain to go through his body. Still refusing to look at his wound, he made eye contact with Lance. Lance put a hand on Keith's shoulder.

"You're going to be okay. I promise." Lance said in a kind voice.

Keith only nodded and looked back at the ceiling. He felt Lance touch a wet cloth on his wound, causing it to sting. Keith banged his head on the wall behind him and seethed at the pain.

"This is going to hurt a lot." Lance warned Keith before dabbing another cloth with another chemical.

Lance placed the wet cloth onto the wound and squeezed, letting some drip inside the wound, disinfecting it.

Keith screamed and bit his hand as the chemical sizzled in response to the bacteria inside the wound already.

"I don't know much, but from the looks of it, it might've hit one of your leg muscles, and judging by the burns around the wound, they used plasma shots. So there's no bullet. I hope..." Lance said, trying to be confident in his quivering voice. His shoulder was hurting him bad, but he didn't want to worry Keith.

Lance then got out some gauze and a bandage, wrapping it around Keith's thigh tightly, putting pressure on the wound with the bandage.

Keith was panting and sweating heavily now due to the pain, causing him to get a bit dizzy. Lance sighed as blood had already started soaking through the bandage and sat on the wall next to Keith.

"Thank you." Keith mumbled.

Lance looked at him and shook his head, "I should thank you. You took a shot and still rescued me from the Galra clutches. Despite hating me."

Keith jolted and looked at Lance, "I don't hate you. You just irritate me at times." You make me feel things and I don't know what they are... but it isn't hate... Keith thought the last thing, not able to admit it.

Lance laughed, clutching his shoulder as he did, "I guess I do. But it's funny to see you angry." Lance thought it was cute.

They get to the castle after what seemed like forever, and Coran rushed both paladins to the pods to let them heal properly. And after they had healed, they left with new scars. And new thoughts they had to ponder.

Now aware of the feelings themselves, how will they voice them to one another?

I'm going through writers block right now... so I'm sorry if this chapter seemed a little dull. Planning on the confession soon!
