What the hell were you thinking? That's not how you're supposed to act in front of his royal highness! Elsa calmed her frantic self as she stood in the middle of her room, contemplating whether or not she should leave the house or stay. Either way, her mother would know and she would truly be a goner.

Elsa slowly opened her room door and heard the muffled voices coming from downstairs.

Somehow, Elsa found herself sitting in the dining room table. All the dishes she prepared for the feast were neatly laid out on the large, antique, dining table. Mr. Corona sat at the head of the table as always. Mrs. Corona sat next to him on his left, while Rosemary sat on the right along with Prince Jack and Rapunzel. Elsa was forced to sit next to her mother.

When she came down, she looked awkwardly towards Jack while her mother grabbed her hand a bit too tightly, dragging her to the dinner table. Apparently, Jack came for both her and Rapunzel, which she still had no idea as to why.

Mr. and Mrs. Corona talked to Jack and asked him how he was handling everything, and if he was ready to be the King and all, with all the responsibilities he'll have, and blah blah blah. They tried to ease the awkward tension as best they can.

Jack quickly interrupted them, getting straight to the point as to why he's here. Both parents became aware of what he would ask and straightened themselves. Jack started, "I think I made clear as to why I am here today. I just wanted to make it quick, but seeing as you've prepared a big feast for tonight, I won't decline staying for it. Thank you." Both parents nodded at his words, saying that the food was nothing big and just a warm welcoming to their home.

"I wanted both your eldest daughters to hear. It seems one of them did not get the memo." Jack looked towards Elsa opposite him. She kept her head down and frowned. How could she look him in the eye? She obviously seemed as if she wasn't a part of the family and felt uncomfortable with a Prince around her when her beautiful sister was sitting right next to him. Yet he didn't take one glance at Rapunzel.

"As you all should know, I'll be choosing a wife." He paused to let the words sink in to all their ears. Mainly Elsa's. All she could think was: Uhhhhh. She pinched herself. No, this is definitely real.

"But me choosing my wife will be more difficult than it sounds. Your daughters are merely candidates. Who knows if I'll really marry them or not." He paused, thinking about what to say next. "I want them both to be by the castle tomorrow morning at precisely 7:00 am."

Both parents expressions were a bit strange. Eh? Are my old ears playing me?

Jack saw the strange looks on everyone's faces, except Rose's of course. She was ecstatic about the news. Not for Rapunzel, but for Elsa.

Before they could protest or accept anything, Jack continued, "All the candidates have been chosen. I've sent letters to everyone and will be having a chance to visit all the females chosen. This is the third house I've been to this week. They will be competing for the throne. I want to see what everyone is capable of. My main worry is if the woman is worthy enough to handle controlling an empire. I'm not looking for their outward appearance or money..." He continued on about the competition.

Elsa lost focus halfway through. Ok, I understand why you need a future Queen and all. But me? You've lost your balls if you're thinking about placing me in a room full of drama queens. If Elsa hadn't guessed correctly, Jack probably chose women from well off families. Elsa knew that those women just think highly of themselves. She would be ripping her hair out before she even agreed to all this. Also, being the Queen of an aged and powerful Kingdom will be too overbearing. But you'll finally be out of this hell-hole, said the little voice inside her head.
