I sat in my first period class, next to a girl I hadn't met yet. But I hadn't met a lot of people yet. Jack sat on the other side of me, acting like he hadn't just called me stupid. I look at the girl next to me and smile. "I'm Angel." I introduce myself. She smiles back. "I'm Reese. Reese Turner. I see you've already met Jack." She says, motioning towards Jack. I raise my eyebrows. "You know Jack?" I ask. She nods. "Everyone knows Jack. He's pretty popular because all the girls think he's hot." She tells me. Good to know. "You do realize I can hear you, Reese, don't you?" Jack asks Reese. Reese laughs. "Of course, but you know I have a type and you don't fit it." She says. I scrunch my eyebrows. "What do you mean?" I ask. Jack finally turns towards me. "Reese likes stealing other people's boyfriends." He tells me. Reese's blond hair curls by itself. I pretend like I didn't notice. "That's not good." Is all I say. I go to the bathroom, knowing Jack was instructed to follow me. He does as instructed and is in the bathroom about 2 minutes after I get in there. I look under every stall, to make sure no one is in any of them. I turn around to face Jack after I know the coast is clear. "Did you see that?" I ask him. He looks confused. "See what?" He asks. "Her hair just curled on her own and something tells me it's not because of technology." I tell him. I sigh. "Does Brad know there are others?" I ask. He looks me right in the eyes. "You can't tell my dad." He says, very seriously. I gasp. "You knew. You've been keeping it from Brad." I whisper. "He destroys people like you, I'm trying to help people like you." He tells me.
People like me. I'll never be normal. That's not what I meant.
I heard his voice in the back of my mind and gasped. I couldn't just read Jack's mind. I could communicate with him telepathically. We went back to class with not a glance at each other and that was probably a good thing.
Idk if the story is moving too fast or not. I really hope it's not. Don't worry I have a lot more I was just saying I hope the first Eight pages don't reveal too much. Anyway, I feel like the Jack/Angel relationship is kinda odd right now since they just met(even though they're not in love or anything). My point is, they can communicate telepathically. That's a lot for two acquaintances to handle.
