New to the Neighborhood: A Tom Holland Story

Part 4

A/N: I thought I would change it up a bit, so I wrote this part in Tom's perspective of meeting Y/n! Let me know what you think of this new insight. Hope you like it 😊

Tom's POV:
After I finish unpacking the boxes and rearranging the furniture, I slouch down onto the couch. I was just about to relax and turn on the television, when Tessa galloped over towards me with her lead in her mouth.
"Not now Tessa," I whine as I attempt to shoo her away. Instead of listening to me, Tessa jumps onto the couch and sits right beside me. Then, she stares at me as if I was crazy. After eyeing me for a couple minutes, she struts over towards me and sits right on my lap.
'Boy, that dog has some nerve,' I think mentally scorning her.
Eventually, I surrender as I sighed, "Okay, let's go for a walk, Tess." Excitedly, she hopped off the couch onto the rug. I attach her lead onto her collar and guide her towards the door.
Before closing the door, I declare to my brothers, "I'm taking Tessa on a walk, I'll be back in awhile." When I step outside, my nose filled with an unfamiliar aroma.
'California is much different than England,' I think. About a week ago, I had temporarily moved from England to California with my brothers and my best friend so that I could finish filming Avengers: Infinity War. I was reprising my role as Spider-Man also known as Peter Parker. Although I enjoyed it here and was excited to live out my dream, it was a much different atmosphere than what I was used to. As I continued my walk with Tessa, she spotted a squirrel climbing a tree nearby.
Once I notice the squirrel, I glance at Tessa's expression and beg, "Tess, don't you dare." Of course she ignores me and she sprints towards the tree. Violently, I was pulled towards Tessa until the lead broke away from the collar leaving her free from my grasp. Tessa ran up the street as she followed the terrified squirrel. I attempt to run after her, but she ran out of my sight.
As I start to trudge up the hill to my new house, I shout, "Tessa!" After I called her name, I hear giggles coming from the direction I was heading. As I walk closer, I realize that Tessa had tackle a nearby stranger and the poor girl was lying on the ground.
'That goddamned dog,' I internally shout.
When Tessa jumped off of the girl, I said, "Sorry about my dog she just loves to give kisses." The girl brush herself off then stood up. That's when I realize how beautiful she. Her y/h/c perfectly silhouetted her face. I lost myself it her dazzling y/e/c eyes as I admire her features.
I was snapped back into reality when she replied, "It's okay, no need to apologize! I love dogs!"
Then she questions, "What's her name?"
"T-T-Tessa," I stutter smiling awkwardly.
'I hope she didn't notice that,' I think as I mentally face-planted myself.
"What a beautiful name," she states as she rubs Tessa's ears lovingly.
"Thanks, I'm Tom by the way," I introduce myself as I extend my hand towards her. I didn't mention my last name because I didn't want her to only like me for my fame unlike others I've met before.
"Y/n," she responds shaking my hand.
'Y/n, what a lovely name,' I reflect.
"I just moved here a couple days ago and I live there," I mention pointing towards my house.
Then, I ask, "Do you live around here?"
"Actually, I'm your neighbor," she giggles directing her hand towards the house next to mine. When she states that, my heart skipped a beat. Also, I couldn't help not to admire that adorable giggle she had.
"Cool, I'll see you around then. Nice to meet you Y/n," I reply as attach the lead onto her collar.
'Really Tom 'cool', not smooth,' I criticize myself. After all, I was never really good with the ladies anyways.
"You too," Y/n replied as I guide Tessa towards the door with a goofy smile plastered on my face.
