-Your house-
Your POV

I'm at least an hour late, and I bet the whole bus situation will be on the news. I lost my phone on the bus, so my parents are most definitely worried sick.

I knock on the door and half a second later my parents open the door. They have looks of relief on their faces and they pull me tight into a hug.

My mom tightly hugged me and said, "Thank goodness you're all right. We were calling the shop, police stations, and then we saw the bus on the news. The whole thing was live."

"It was?" I immediately ran past my parents into our living room and looked at the TV, and there it was. The whole thing on replay. The bus spinning, falling off the bridge, and Spider-Man showing up. Even him pulling me up. Gosh... Imagine everyone at school on Monday, I think to myself.

"Good to see the medics got you cleaned up." My dad came up from behind me and turned me around. He looked at the stitches on my hairline, and the cut above my left eyebrow, "so how long do you think it will take to heal?"

"Definitely not by Monday." I groaned

"I'm sure it will be fine." My mom said with a reassuring smile. It didn't reassure me.

"Everybody is going to be taking about it. Hopefully the teachers will let me make up my homework that is lost in the river."

"The teachers will, and to be honest I do think the kids will be talking about it." My dad just had to say this.

"Wow. Thanks a lot dad." I say sarcastically, "I'm beat. I'll be in my room the rest of the night if that's fine."

"You go right ahead."

When I get into my room I flop on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I can't get that moment on the bridge out of my head. Spider-Man and me just standing on the bridge looking at each other. I swear there was something familiar about him. I just can't put my finger on it.

-Peter's apartment-
Peter's POV

"She recognized me Ned." I say leaning over my desk. I called Ned over because I just need to talk someone about this. He's sitting on my bed.

"What?! She knows your Spider-Man?"

"Well, no, but she said that my voice sounded familiar. What if she suspects that it's me? That I'm Spider-Man."

"If she thinks it's you, wouldn't she have called you or something? I bet she doesn't even have a clue. Even if she does know, maybe we can get her on our team."

"What?"

"She could be our other, guy in the chair. Except she's a girl, so I guess girl in the chair. Now that I think about it, that would actually be pretty cool."

I lay down on my bed, and put my hands over my face in frustration. She can't know. What if she thinks differently of me? What if she starts seeing Spider-Man instead of Peter Parker? I got to take my mind off this, "You should've seen how scared she was on the bus, Ned."

"Y/n y/l/n, scared? She seems so tough, like you can't break her."

"That's what I thought too. Y/n let her guard down and showed me her vulnerability."

"Correction. She showed Spider-Man her vulnerability, not you."

"But still." I looked at the bottom of my top bunk and sat up, "I'm really tired Ned. Maybe you should get going. Talk to you tomorrow."

"Okay, Peter. See ya later." He left my room and I heard May say goodbye to him.

I can't shake that moment out of my head. Her holding on to me and trusting me. The way she looked at me on the bridge. Gosh Peter, she didn't even know it was you. After seeing her go through that and having to see her on Monday. That's going to be fun. At least I know she's okay. I continue to play the same scene in my head until I fall asleep.
