Reader's pov
After everyone else had woken up, we all met in the living room. The fireplace had now gone out, as sunlight filled the room. I was now sitting on the couch with 4 girls around me. Ruby, Yang, Weiss, and a strange girl with black hair and cat ears that was apparently named Blake, as Ruby explained to me. She must have been a faunus. I remember them from my dad's teachings about how this world works. Apparently, faunus were greatly discriminated against, even though I always thought they were cooler-looking than average humans. After a moment of awkward silence, Ruby eventually said, "I'm bored! What do you guys wanna do today?" I was honestly in the mood for a game or something. Ruby, almost like she was reading my mind, said, "Y/N, do you play games?" I nodded, about to name off some games when I remembered the only games I played were the ones from my world, and I didn't know what they had here. Ruby cheered, "Yaaay!" and ran off... somewhere. She moved inhumanly fast, back in a flash, and was now holding something in her hands. She placed it on the coffee table, and I quickly recognized it as a board game I played back home. Remnant: The Game. My dad brought it back to me when he found it during one of his jobs, thinking it was an educational game about the world I would soon be the reaper of. But by the time he found out it was a game of global domination, he had also realized it was a good way to keep me busy while he was out in the world. I was only able to play it by myself, but I had grown some pretty interesting strategies.
Ruby, Yang and I sat down for a game, Weiss went outside to practice sparring against a creature she summoned with her semblance, and Blake sat nearby, reading a book.
After only a few minutes, I was pretty much walking through everything they had like it was paper. Ruby sat wide-eyed at the board. She clearly never saw anything like what I was doing in this game. Even Blake watched for a little bit before returning to her book. "I won." I said after conquering Ruby's region of the board. Yang was trying extremely hard to keep her cool, and it was very funny to watch. "Well, um, good job Y/N. I, uh...." Yang kept fumbling her words trying to not sound angry, constantly taking deep breaths. Ruby then piped up and said, "Again! Again!" After about 15 re-matches, Ruby had finally declared she had given up, and it was still only around noon. I started feeling hungry again. "I'm gonna go get a snack. Be right back." I walked into the kitchen and started snacking on a thing called an apple. It was hard and juicy and tasted good. I then looked out the window to notice Weiss fighting the creature she summoned. Eventually she recalled it back to wherever her creatures come from, and sat down on a bench. She clearly looked exhausted. I then grabbed a water bottle and walked out the back door to where she was sitting. She quickly stood up and tried to return to sparring. "Hi, Y/N." I sighed. Clearly she was one to work hard, and didn't like others to see her slacking off. "Hey, sit down. You look like you need a break." Weiss stood for a second, then returned to her bench as I handed her a bottle of water. "Thanks." She said, sipping the water slowly. We sat in silence for a moment, before Weiss asked, "So, where are you from, Y/N?" I gulped, and tried thinking of an answer. Weiss looked at me, clearly wanting to know where I was from. I suddenly had an idea. "I don't know." Weiss gave a confused look, and I explained, "My parents abandoned me when I was really young. A don't even remember their names, or where they live now." Weiss's mouth gaped open. "I'm really sorry to hear that, Y/N..." We sat in another awkward silence for a few more minutes, before I heard Ruby shout "Y/N! Where did you go?!" I suddenly remembered I had a childish girl to entertain, and said, "Well, I'm afraid I must go. Cya later, Weiss." I stood up to go back inside when Weiss said "Wait." I turned to face her, and she said, "It was...enjoyable to spend time with you, Y/N." She said, trying to sound all prim and proper as always. I nodded with a smile, and re-entered the cabin.
